Good morning everyone! How's everyone doing? Are you ready for another day? What kind of plans do you have for today?Any new ideas for fitness, health or fun?

The other day I was in CL and one chicken was making alot of noise.I looked over and it looked like was stuck in a feed pan.But when I got closer I could tell it wasn't stuck ,it could get out at any time.It had just convinced it self it was stuck and decided to make alot of noise rather than just try to get out.Hmm, made me think about all the times I've talked about what I was going to do rather than just doing it.

Suppose to get warm around here again. So many storms this summer, hope everyone is safe.Deb, keeping Katie in my thoughts. What a scary thing to happen.Rhonda, hope you're closer to getting back online.Shar, missing you.

Take care and enjoy your day!

Sounds like the weather was very tempting this morning to get outside and run. It was really nice here this morning too. Pilates can sure wake up some different muscles! And...it keeps doing it!

Have a good one.

Big workout day for you today, Kat! And, you call it you day off day too! I don't think I could do that much in one day even with teaching classes.

Have a super day and super workout.

Glad Katie is doing all right so far. Yeah, kids are resilient - thank goodness.

I'm nodding my head with Grace. Keeping a "pet" chained up outside in the backyard all the time isn't any kind of a life for an animal that was probably loved and cuddled as a puppy, and probably doesn't help the dog's disposition at all. Why even own a dog, then? I don't think they were negligent because they had the dog secured, but for the dog to snap in the head like that, something is not right. That the owners are shaken up about this is probably good for them, the next victim might be more aggressive in pursuing the matter and they need to seriously think about what they should do next. I don't know if I could pursue them either given what you've shared. I detest the majority of the 1-800-IAM-HURT lawsuits tying up the court system today as if enough money can solve *anything*, but I will say that if the dog who chased me had injured me (that dog wasn't secured if you remember), I would expect any out-of-pocket expenses to be reimbursed without argument.

I agree with what you said, the owners feel awful and they want to do all they can. I know in thier hearts they are equally upset with this. The did not even want me to call the hospital to give them all my insurance info. They just offered to pay for it themselves. I told them it was not necessary, that is why we have insurance. They did run and get the antibiotic filled for me when I asked about a pharmacy. They even picked up that co-pay. I agree with you about how unfair it is to keep a dog chained up, it is not a life I would want either so why bother. But its not my choice or dog. Trust is something they need to decide if they can have with this pet again. We have several people who immediatly said "LAW SUIT" but that is not our style. It was an accident and they are truely sorry for what happened. Too many people jump on that band wagon of get rich and I for one do not want to get my money that way. We work hard and honest for what we have and I believe we are teaching our children the same. I am just thankful that Katie was not hurt worse and that the lord was watching over her. She is doing better, and she is a tuff cookie. We are lucky she will be fine with only a few battle scars to share stories about as she gets older. She will definatly think twice before approaching a dog, but that is a good thing!

Deb, I just read your first message about Katie's dog bite and posted a response to it a few minutes ago. I mentioned that my youngest daughter had been bit by our neighbors rott. The co-incidentaly thing is that in Alicia's case the dog was locked in the house protecting our neighbor's property. Their kids had spent the night at our house and the girls had decided to go next door to get something else to wear to church. They shouldn't have gone over there and did it without my permission. It is unfortunate that Katie had to get bit in such a horrific manner. As for what to do about the dog, I feel like you head and heart is in the right place. It's really hard when your pulled in two directions like this, continue to pray and have faith, and God will make everything work out.
