Wow Lori it is hot where you are. I think our high for today is 86 and I thought that was hot. You need to watch when it gets that warm, was the Jazzersize class taught in the AC? Maybe just sit and relax an extra 30 minutes after the class, next time. The water is a no brainer. Got to get that stuff into your system.......very important! I thought you had use of the pool? Why didn't you go for a swim, that would have helped too.

My only rule is no rules........I wish. I need to stop and start to smell the flowers again. To much rushing and comotion around here. I need to slow it down a notch and enjoy my kids. I sat with Katie yesterday and did a color by numbers for about an hour. Felt good to sit mid-day!

Heading off to work this morning. Mom will stay from 10 to 1 with Katie. Should only be with her brother for an hour this morning and right now they are still sleeping. I need to go to the bank and buy some food, the shelves are empty. Then upon getting home get Katie into the shower, which means getting her bandages off and lightly cleaning the wounds. This will not be an easy task and I am sweating just thinking about it now. Other then that its a low key afternoon with some quiet time with Katie.

Good Morning,

Lori, that is mighty warm! Hope you're feeling better and sounds like a good rule to follow.

No new rules here just the usual. Trying to keep up with the before work cleanup and got quite a few things taken care of this AM. Tutoring was canceled last night so I did get a workout in last night. We're supposed to be meeting this evening so again I'll see what I feel like at 9PM.

Not a whole lot going on in this neck of the woods just the usual same old same old but sometimes that same routine is a good thing!

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!

Flower to make you feel better. I know that feeling, too. Couple too much heat with not enough fluids or delaying a meal, and I'll get a headache quicker than anything.

I stretched last night to Jennifer Kries' tapes, about 40 minutes worth. Nothing too strenous yesterday, the backside of my thighs above my knees are still a little sore from the two days prior. I'll either do cardio or body sculpt later on today or tonight. In the conditioned air of our bonus room! Other than that.... A bit o' housecleaning. A few errands. I have to go pay for that darned bonus room A/C - that was the one we had replaced 3 months ago, and took advantage of the 90 days same as cash. I'd like to stop by Wal-Mart, Target and Kohl's to check out book bags and lunch boxes for Allison - she's got a backpack that goes with her luggage, but I want to see if there's one that'll have more convenient features (though most backpacks would be enormous for a Kindergartener). I finally bought some frames for the caricatures that we had done at my college class reunion, and I want to hang those today. Still haven't started on my dress liner. Maybe today?

My new rule, which I shared a few days ago, is to do the ironing within a day or two after the laundry. It's not something I look forward to, but that way it never piles up and I feel like I can tackle it.

Hi, Lori!

Yipes - 99 with Jazzercise? No way here. That's my rule - Watch the heat. Bostonians are notorious for being fast movers on the sidewalks as well as on the roads, but I've learned to slow down the frantic pace when I'm out at noon on the really muggy days. I'm thankful my basement stays somewhat cool on humid days, so working out there is really not unpleasant, and it's convenient to slow down and stop if I start feeling off. Enjoy your yoga class tonight.

A full workout is on order for me tonight. I blew off Tuesday's - just didn't feel like it mentally. My back is normal again - the spasm wasn't as deep as one I had several months back, and sleeping with a pillow under my knees, wearing a "foundation garmet" that offers light but sufficient support for my butt and lower back (yes, even in the humidity of the last fews days!), and Aleve has helped. Stupid thumb is still sore, but the brace helps and I use it during exercising so it'll be safe.

I did a little shopping Tuesday in a real store. J. Jill's summer sales are on, and I found a cute dress for way less than 1/2-price. Pale pink background, with a cute deeper pink/beige/black floral print. Shift style, cut on the bias - never looked good in that style before I rediscovered my waist, so I'll be seeking it out now. I also hit Trader Joe's Tuesday evening and bought some good stuff. I can't believe the difference in prices between TJ's and the regular grocery store. One example, Kashi Go Lean cereal; same size box - TJ's price $1.78, grocery store price $3.29! Bought some frozen shrimp and mixed veggies also, and made stir-fry for dinner when we got home. Yummy. Followed it with sliced fresh pineapple, sprinkled with coconut. Delish.

Time to do the paying job. Onward and upward - have a great day, everyone!

I've skipped the classes in the evening at my regular locale so far this week because we have no a/c at the center, and the classes are offered at the hottest time of the day.
