I'm posting so late that I'm posting early for Thursday, so thought I'd start things off. Anything special on your agenda today? Have you got anything you could do today to make someone else thankful for you and how you affect

Not sure what my workout will be, I think a run on my treadmill.Or maybe I'll get my step out and something different.
Thankfuls;
1)Very thankful for DS and the thoughtful young man that he is.He's still a teenager(enough said there ) and still has a room that should be condemed. But more and more often he shows moments of thoughtfulness and maturity that make me so happy.
2)So thankful for the day with my sister yesterday. We had so much fun.Not really much shopping but so much laughing.
3)Thankful for how good my exercise makes me feel and the balance it brings to my life.Yesterday we went to Cracker Barrel and I ordered a good lunch which included desert. I had worked out earlier and didn't worry about any extra calories.Nice sometimes to just eat and not have it be a major guilt thing.
4)Thankful for my parents and the good health they have.

Bummer about the Explorer. I loved your Explorer. I also love how you have such a great attitude about scaling back. I hope Tim is on the mend soon...this has all been going on too long. Could it be the stress? We all know how stress takes a toll on us physically. Keeping him in my prayers.
No workout this a.m. I am sore from my workout yesterday...specifically from my squats and lunges. Sarah was up sick during the night. I'm running on empty this morning.
My thankfuls...this week has been Vacation Bible School at church and it has been such a blessing! High energy, tons of kids, noisy, loud, I'm unable to get any work done all morning and into the early afternoon, but it has been fun!
Later, 'gator.

Inspirational happenings today is that our Bible study for "The Purpose Driven Life" wrapped up last week, and we're having a dinner celebration tonight. Yep, Mom is having a night out with the ladies at a local seafood restaurant. Better read up on dining out portions in ChangeOne so as not to blow the progress I've made these last 3 weeks! I'm always looking for opportunities to hold open a door, take a cart to the cart corral for someone, let someone in traffic, say "thank you" or "have a blessed day" to somebody when they don't expect it.
Workout... didn't get up early enough to run, so it'll be Cardio Sculpt today after Body Sculpt and abs last night. I signed up for the President's Challenge yesterday under our group name, so I get to start logging!
Out of the ordinary thankfuls:
1. I'm thankful for this house we're in. I'm fighting the assessment right now, but it makes me reflect how lucky we are to be living in this n'hood to begin with. We *barely* got in on the ground floor when the n'hood was new, and probably couldn't afford to buy new now.
2. Thankful for swimming in the summer. On hot days, what better way to cool off? Also thankful that Allison did so well in her lesson on Tuesday. Her kicks had been sort of flailing, and her coach would have to correct her or hold her so she'd get the form better; she'd also dog paddle when she'd bring her head up to breath - but Tuesday, she was motoring across the pool on her own doing free style, even turning her head sideways to breath. One week made that much difference! (OTOH, her backstroke is comical to watch - she'll bring her head up, which makes her legs come up and her butt sink! Heck, she's only 5-1/2, there is plenty of time for her to get the hang of it all.)
3. Thankful for road trips to refresh the mind, body and soul. Whether it's a day trip to the beach, lake or a friend's house, or visiting MIL in the mountains. Got a mountain visit coming up next week, and we'll be getting together with BIL and his family there (sans the dog with a loose screw).
4. Thankful that I've got Allison's school supply shopping done. She's getting excited about school, though still down about not spending more time with her Mom. The Cus can't believe "his little girl is big enough to have a lunch box". It's a cool lunch box - the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. LOL!
Y'all have a wonderful day!

Rhonda-It's so nice to have you back where you belong! I'm so glad to hear that your dad is doing so much better and that Tim is picking up clients but sorry to hear that he's back to not feeling well. Sure hope that they find the reason for it. It's so hard to have all these tests and still not have an answer. My thoughts and prayers are with him.
Nothing new nor exciting around here. There was no workout yesterday so planning on something this evening just not sure at this point what it will be.
Thankful for short hair that cooperates inspite of the HHH's!
Thankful for the knowledge in my head at work that allows me to help out a client without them having to wait for a phone call back.
In spite of life's ups and downs and days where the stresses and strains of job, home, health concerns can seem overwhelming and when a smile for your face is hard to find I'm still always thankful to be alive!
I'm off now to marinate my pork chops for the bbq for tonight's dinner. Hope your day is a good one!

My next thankful is for hubby, today is his 47th birthday. I am thankful to have him to lean on when the time is needed.
I need to refocus on some serious eatting and trying to motivate myself into moving again. I guess I should start now by getting my butt into the shower and off this computer since I need to be at work in just over 45 minutes. I plan to read the rest of the board later, good day to you all!

Goodness, you are early! Take care of Tim. I'll be saying my prayers!
Any inspirational workouts or meals planned?
No. I just need to do an effective, enthusiastic workout and eat healthily without having to cook. I'm doing my workouts with kind of a ho-hum attitude. I know it'll change, just have to make it sooner rather than later. I'm limiting my dinner menu to fish and chicken on the grill or take-out until it cools off. Plus, I'm having blood tests Monday or Tuesday next week and I don't want to gum up the works with steak or burgers!
Mass quantities of water to be consumed? Yes. Need to do a lot better in that department.
Monumental exercises of self control to keep from telling a boss or coworker what you'd like them to do with the job? ;-) A daily trial! If I could lose weight by exercising temper control, I'd be a toothpick today!
Have you got anything you could do today to make someone else thankful for you and how you affect his or her life?
I'll take credit today for something I did yesterday. I stopped into 4-Bucks for a liquid treat on the way home. There was a very elderly man in there who was a bit confused that none of the baked goods they offered were less than the dollar he had to spend. I don't think he was homeless, but probably economically constrained. I bought him a piece of lemon pond cake and a cup of iced coffee; he was so appreciative, he thanked me with tears in his eyes. His appreciation made me feel like I'd made his day; it sure made mine.
No special thank yous. Just for the usual stuff, which is all pretty major when you think about it (a great DH, health, healthy parents, the little ones, comfort, the means to enjoy some of the extras). I understand that I've been blessed with so much more than what some people have. When having a slice of cake is a luxury, I know I'm lucky.
Have a great day, everyone! The paying job beckons....
