Many of us have had a great week here! If you haven't already, share your victories - on health, at work, at home. It's always uplifting to share with friends, and it's uplifting for your friends to celebrate with you.

So what's on tap for today? Planning a workout or getting a day of rest? Planning for anything exciting this weekend? What about a 15-minute project? Any progress to be made on something ongoing?

Also, I'll take a moment to plug our group over on the President's Challenge. Alice (BettyBoop) mentioned that she was logging in her workouts, and Grace mentioned that we had a group over there. Not sure why I didn't take it on when it was first shared, but I checked it out, decided "What the heck", signed on, and joined our group. You can keep up with your workouts and earn points towards awards. Grace has already earned a bronze medal. I signed up for the Presidential Champions section and am now working on my bronze medal. It's a neat little log, takes no time to fill in once you select your preferred activities, and you can compare yourself to others in your group, city, state, age or country. Pretty cool. Check out http://www.presidentschallenge.org/ . Our group is "Fit Over Forty", ID # 10757.

Have to share that I had a wonderful dinner with the ladies from our Bible Study last night. I had the grilled shrimp and veggies with a side salad and baked potato. I ate *very* well, packing the entire salad and all the veggies and shrimp. Most veggies are unlimited for the moderation eating plan that I'm on, and I wanted to see what that was like. This morning, I feel normal. I'm trying to remember the last time I felt "normal" the morning after eating out, and I can't!

Day of rest for me regarding workouts. I've had some kind of workout daily since Monday, including one day of just stretching, and I think I could use a break. 'Sides, the muscles around my left elbow are sore from pushups! We're planning to head out of town this weekend for about a week, up to MIL's house in the mountains. BIL and family (wife and 14yo DD) should be there by the time we get in - it's always a pleasure to get together with them. I'll still be able to get online while I'm there... thank goodness, LOL! Hmm, 15 minute project, I think I'll finish up putting Dec 2003 photos in my photo album. Shouldn't take more than an hour, because they're already organized. My ongoing projects aren't going , neither the dress liner nor my dining room redecorating. Realistically, I probably won't get around to doing those until Allison starts school in two weeks.

Good Morning and TGIF!

Last day of work before a week of vacation-can you feel the excitement! I love weeks off even if we don't go anywhere or do anything! Hope to at least get the living room painted and some new furniture ordered. Blew off my workout again last night-haven't had a very productive week in that department-found the great outdoors, my chair and a book much more inviting! Even Otto didn't feel up to much of a walk last night and we only ventured around the block. He's not much for the HHH's either.

Not much on the agenda for today other than work and getting to the grocery store for some essentials of life. Tomorrow we have a surprise 50th birthday party to go to and I finally have an eye dr appointment and new glasses. That's as exciting as the weekend will probably get!

Hope your day and weekend are absolutely FAB!

Good morning!

Not too bad a day on tap at the office. Only one deadline at 2, and there's only one potential glitch. When we solve that, I'm home free.

Workout - DH is home today (nice, long weekend for him), so if I can get out of here a little earlier than usual, I can get home earlier and we can head out for a walk. I know I won't be able to coax him up the hill for the 4-miler, but I'll settle for a brisk pace on the 3-mile route. UB weights when I get home.

Then we'll have dinner (no idea what yet, but it'll be at home) and get the house cleaned up for the nephew's sleepover. The rugs need a vacuuming, the floors a dustmopping, and the bathroom a minor scrubdown. Not that he notices! Rumor has it it's supposed to cool off Saturday and Sunday, so I'm thinking DH doesn't plan to fill the pool up. So I'll need to lay in arts-and-crafts supplies, or plan a long day of mini-golf when the rains move out Saturday morning. Saturday dinner - TGIFriday's, naturally; the Prince's favorite! Sunday will be a shortened day; we'll return him to mom and dad around noon and beat it back to our house early before the weekend effects of the DNC traffic restrictions begin.

I'll do another workout Sunday after we get home, then prepare a nice dinner, and get ready to enjoy Monday off; other than a fasting blood test in the morning, plans to be determined.

Have a great Friday, everyone!

Cussette I always enjoy reading whay you have to say. I completed the Active Life Style Award about a month ago and after Grace mentioned the Bronze Award converted over to that program. I also joined our group. I put in an update on my post for a "Busy Weekend" in case you're interested. I only have few minutes so I'm need to go. I'll try to check in whenever I can this weekend but don't expect to have much free time.

Stay Sweet & God Bless

I did sign up for the Presidential Challenge. Since I seem to be in a bit of slump it sounds like a good way to recharge the battery.

Today was the first of my Fridays to work at Republican Headquarters doing data entry between now and the election. I did that almost nonstop from 9:30 to 3:45. Ran by the mall to look briefly, picked Tim up from work, then we grocery shopped together and picked up two large pizzas since Rob is having a friend spend the night and the friend's idea of a vegetable is the tomato sauce on pizza.

I've been catching up on emails and posts from today. Amazing how many pile up in just one day. I'm kind of tired and looking forward to taking it easy tonight. I stayed up too late last night reading The Late Great Planet Earth.
