*!*!* Stupendous Saturday *!*!*

Even though it's been a few years since I've had a weekday work routine, I still look forward to Saturdays. The husband's home, it's a break from the usual day, and frankly, some old habits die hard. I still get the "Ah, it's Saturday" feeling every week. So what will you be doing to make your Saturday special? Anybody planning a day trip? Getting together with friends? Going out to dinner and a movie? Gonna squeeze in a workout of sorts?

Did most of the packing for our trip to MIL's house in the mountains. I'm looking forward to the cooler weather - when I looked at the current weather yesterday on Weather Underground it was 91o here, and 79o where she lived. Mornings are in the low 60s there, compared with low-mid 70s here - and less humidity there. Makes it nice to run! So we're heading there today to stay for a while, get together with BIL and family, etc. I'm nursing my coffee right now, but probably around 8:15 or so, I'll go for a run aiming for about 3.5 miles or so.

Oh, I got the picture from the race. Very disappointed because it was totally blurry, which you couldn't really tell from the website when I ordered - though the chairs and cones 5 feet behind me were in perfect focus (it wasn't a motion blur, either, since all edges were blurry). I'll be returning it for a refund.

How many races have you run so far? I like the picture you have in the corner. You look great! I'll have to check out your website sometime. I ran yesterday morning on the treadmill for two miles, did some yoga for my back, then hand weights, then ab workout, and then some yoga again. Today I will be spending packing. We leave for the lake tonite and will be gone till next Saturday. Its our annual vacation to the same resort we've been going to for the past 10 or so years. My whole side of the family goes, parents, kids, grandkids, and now great grandkid, all go and we rent out three large cabins. Its a blast and I can't wait to get there! Have a great week everyone and I'll be checking back with you all next weekend sometime.

Hi to all!

Cussette hope you have fun visiting w/IL's. The mountains sounds nice it's hot here. My GDH wanted to know your DD's name, she saw the picture. I barely can walk a couple of miles. Whenever I try to run I have a problem with breathing. I know I'm doing something wrong just haven't figured out what.

Nancy the road trips sound like a blast. What kind of Bike is it? I would like to do something like that. Smetimes I do the ab thing when we go for a ride, usually just to the next small town for ice cream @ Dairy Queen, we don't have a Dairy Queen here any more.

Tweety, I wish I had the motivation to work out as much as you do. This weekend is going to be full of toddlers so I'll be getting my workout playing and chasing them.

Hope every one has a wonderful, safe, happy, and blessed weekend. :-)

Catch ya on the flip side. (LOL)

Good morning everyone! I was up earlier than I'd like to have been to take care of my neighbor's dogs. He told me the other night that his mother is dying in Massachusetts, so he needed to be up there. I felt so bad for him. Rob usually watches the dogs when he and his wife go on trips, but Rob hasn't been home long enough this summer to do that kind of thing. I love their dogs, and they're extremely well behaved. They just need to go out early in the morning and later at night, as well as to be fed. I spend some time playing with them too. They're my buddies.

Rob is leaving again today for the ocean condo (I need to get some new friends like his)! He'll be gone several days. They wanted him to go to Universal Studios at Orlando too, but I had to nix that. He's already been to two theme parks down there this summer, and we have plans to go down to Ormond Beach around the time they'll be headed to Orlando.

It's kind of overcast here this morning and humid. I will probably work on vacuuming and scrubbing the Infiniti carpets and running some errands. I got all the rest of the interior and the floor mats scrubbed, then washed the exterior Thursday evening, so I'm making progress. Got the lawn mowed Thursday too, but never did edge or use the blower before daylight ran out. The shrubs are also still calling my name, so there's plenty I could do.

Enjoy your day and all your plan.

Good Morning,

Linda enjoy your trip to the mountains always sound so nice, fun and relaxing.

Nancy-enjoy your "day trip" sounds like fun. You two really seem to be enjoying the trike!

Tweety have a great vacation!

We had some very heavy rain here yesterday and has left the air very moist and damp. I was going to venture out for my Saturday AM walk until I looked out the window and it's definitely one of those days where the skies could just open up at any time so I opted for the basement and one of my WATP videos. I have a much needed eye exam this morning and dragging DD along with me to help me pick out new frames. We're then going to head to the mall to do some shopping. Later today DH and I have a surprise 50th birthday party to go to and that about wraps up the day.

Hope your Saturday is Stupendous!

Good morning all. Going to be another scorcher here today. It's already in the mid 80's at 9 o'clock! Yesterday we broke the all time record by 2 degrees celcius which is about 4 degrees farenheit. That temp is taken at the airport that has nice ocean breezes blowing through. In fact, where we are in the city, it was registering over 100 yesterday afternoon with the heat index. Yowser. I think it's definitely a water day for us today. Beach or lake...don't know which.

I got smart and popped a roast in the oven yesterday morning, so we will be having cold roast beef, leftover salmon and salad today. I refuse to cook in this heat!

Lisa, have an awesome time at the cabin!! I remember how excited you were last year and this year you'll get to cuddle with that new grandbaby!!! Lucky you!

Deb, they had a big article on Gig Harbour in the travel section of our local newspaper today. Very pretty place!

Linda, enjoy your time at your MIL's. I'd love to be in the mountains right about now!

Have a good one ladies.
