Donna

I'm in cl some, suppose to be there now(don't tell the boss!!!!)Came out for a quick water/computer break. After I finish in there I'm doing something.Something is up in the air.Definitely a workout, maybe housework, maybe a grocery run.The possibilities are endless.....Feel great today and ready to get back into fitness stuff.
Enjoy your day whether you're working or playing hooky!!!!

Not playing hookey but am enjoying first day of a week of vacation! Just finished a workout which included my exercise bike and weights--was supposed to be a walk on the treadmill but that seems to be having some issues this morning-like not turning on and when it has a lucid moment it is screaming some strange message so need to speak to the member of the household that is employed at the bike/fitness store maybe he'll have a clue!
It's a beautiful day here as it was yesterday. DH is upstairs putting a coat of primer on the LR walls and think I probably should be up there helping but think I better wash some sweat off first so we can both be in the same room together! Hoping today also brings a phone call from the doctor. She's been on vacation and had said to expect a phone call today or tomorrow. Sure hoping it's today--I'm getting a little antsy for the results.
Enjoy your vacation day Donna.
Patty glad to hear you're feeling better this morning and hope there's some mischief out there with your name on it!
Hope everyone has a Super Duper Day!

Good Morning Donna and Everyone!
Donna, I was thinking of you this morning while watching GMA wondering if you were experiencing a difficult commute into the city this morning.
You Were Born An Original... Don't Die A Copy
Well if I were really insane I could take four Jazzercise classes today AFTER my one hour personal training session....but we all know I'm not insane about fitness, just a little crazy :o).
Picking up my friend soon (yawn) for a latte, then we will do
Patty - Sorry that migraine situation hasn't changed. You don't complain about them, you keep hauling your load - I don't know how you cope with the pain days on end. I get exactly a 1-day hormonal migraine a month and I end up flat on my back in the dark with a pillow over my head; the next day I feel like a limp dishrag. Hope you feel better soon.
Deb - I'd hate to hear an infection has set into Katie's wounds. Hope the doctor gives you an ok and something to wipe it out quickly.
Nancy - What a fun weekend you had. I can't see me riding a bike of any kind around here. Maybe if we lived in wider, more open spaces. As a pedestrian, you take your life into your hands stepping off the curbstone around these parts.
Rhonda - Loved your dad's letter. We have lots of vets up here who express similar thoughts in letters to the editors of our papers. We all need those reminders.
Mary - You did a smart thing Friday at work turning down your co-worker's lunch. Keep making decisions like that one and you'll be step-dancing in no time. Riverdance, or Lord of the Dance??
Cussette - Your Sunday morning sounded totally inspiring. Wish I'd read it yesterday, when I needed a kick in the youknowwhat to get going. It had a positive effect, though, and I'll be getting off the chair and into workout mode momentarily.
My weekend was a washout. The heavens opened up Saturday morning as we were supposed to go pick up my nephew for his sleepover. Dangerously so - lots of water swirling around the streets, rain so heavy you couldn't see the house across the road. I called my sister and asked if she might want to reconsider driving the highways to meet us. She has a teeny tiny toy car, and my heart was in my mouth at the thought of her driving any distance with the kids, especially on the road I knew she was going to be traveling on. Plus, she needed to drop and run - my niece was expected at a birthday party starting at 11 way up north of us (the weather was a bit better up there), and I thought she might arrive back too late (a little-girls only party at Bath and Body Works - they start young!!). Well, after a 10-minute negotiation with my nephew, we all agreed it would be best if he stayed with his dad and uncle and did guy stuff, and my sister promised him some mom-and-son time when the girls' party was over. I don't think he hates me yet! We're rescheduled for August 7. I'm gonna have to come up with something super special for that one.
The rain continued well past noon Saturday, and the rest of the day was downright cool and refreshing. When the rain stopped, I opened all the windows and doors to catch the breezes, put on sweats, and looked for something to do because I could feel the eating-from-boredom mood setting in. I went to the basement and started cleaning up. An hour later, I was dirty, dusty, sweaty - and not interested in food anymore. I took another shower and settled in to watch HGTV and then baseball (yup, me, watching baseball). DH busied himself with mudwork - um, yardwork. I barred him from entering the house except through the basement. He looked like Swamp Thing. By the way, on HGTV - my favorite designer has become Candice Olsen (Divine Design). Such classy work!
Sunday was just a slow-paced day. I stretched the housework out over the afternoon, cleaned up and went out for dinner at Outback (realized I don't need to do a blood test for another month, so had a yummy steak dinner and saved a big portion for the doggy bag), then came home and just tidied up a bit.
Today is a real relaxing day. Don't have a lot to do except think about what to make for dinner. I'm trying to figure out whether to go for a walk outside in a few minutes, or just hit the treadmill - if I walk outside, I'm likely to blow off any weight work, and I really need to get back to that in earnest. So, it looks like when the morning yak shows are over, I'll hit the treadmill with a movie for the VCR and get a workout in.
Listening to the golden retriever across the street. He's the only male among the four around here, and he's been getting his vocal exercise the last few days! A couple of wild turkeys on the front lawns Sunday got him going, and who knows when he'll let up!
Have a great day, everyone!
Donna
Today is a 'hooky day' for me from working in town, too.

Does your nephew like miniature golf or bowling? Rob always got a kick out of doing those, because we did it so seldom. Also, Dave and Buster's is a fun

I sure felt like playing hooky this morning.
Didn't get much exercise so far today. I'm thinking about going on a bicycle ride later, I did walk for about 20 minutes earlier today. I guess that's better than nothing.
Hope every one had a wonderful Monday.
