The painting project is finally done. The wall color is beautiful and with the crisp white trim it's really pretty. I've been up and down the step ladder more times than I care to count, have dropped numerous paint brushes on the floor numerous times, and did a pretty good job of covering most of me with paint and ended up scrubbing up paint splatters that some how avoided the tarp and hit the floor. We've cleaned up the furniture and moved it back in a different arrangement but neither of us likes it but neither of us has the ambition or strength to move it back to its original position. I still haven't heard from the doctor so I'll be needing to make a phone call first thing in the morning-this waiting is getting old. I've started out the past 2 days with great workouts and good eating habits but somehow the eating habits somehow get left somewhere else about mid day. I can't quite get the two coordinated this week. I'm about ready to call it a night and hope that it's a good nights sleep so I'm ready to start pushing that vaccum and more furniture around!

Hope your Tuesday has gone well.

never really checked in today. Busy day at the office, trying to help out with one of the ladies on vacation. Katie had a great check-up which was a relief. The weather has gotten humid again and we have rain now as I type. I would really like to get back to walking, I need to do something. My energy level is low and I need to boost it up.

My youngest DD took me to lunch, she insisted on paying for it which was nice. We also had Chinese Buffet but I did watch how much food I ate today and didn't over-do it. I guess that was an acomplishment. I didn't do hardly any walking today and it started raining this evening just as I was going out the door for a short walk.

Susan I know how much work painting can be. It can also be either fun or stressful. A couple of years ago we did some remodeling and I told DH if we made it through the bathroom with out getting a divorce we could get through anything. (lol)

Nancy I'm glad you are feeling better. It must have been a week for people to feel bad. Someone told me once that feeling bad was part of feeling good. If you never felt bad then you wouldn't know how good feeling good felt. I am so proud of how faithful you are on staying active. I wish had that much motivation.

Except for not being able to post last night thru aol from home, my day was good. Did anything happen to me or for me? I don't know yet. I'm sure Someone up there tweaked my path a bit, but I don't know it or see it yet. A little slow on the uptake sometimes...

Survived the DNC for another day. Except for the scarcity of hotel rooms, it'd be a great week to visit the city. Well secured and patrolled, manageable traffic, curbside parking in abundance (better than paying extortion rates in the garages), trains empty, the happenin' restaurants empty (no big bounce from the conventioneers, and the regulars staying away in droves - lots of revenue lost), and no lines waiting to get into the city's attractions.

Celebrity sightings? You'd think this were Hollywood the way the papers are bleating about the presence of this or that celebrity Democrat. I've seen few - a local newswoman whom I've seen around town many times, and Jim Lehrer of PBS. Rumor has it that Al Sharpton and the Clintons had been staying at the hotel across the street from my office. A couple of my coworkers had their lunchbags searched as they passed the hotel to return to work. I guess a hero sandwich in a brown wrapper could look suspicious. The only celebrity I want to see close up is Tom Brady (NE Patriots cutie q-back).

If anyone needs a town car for any reason, call Boston - every black limo/touring car/town car in the country is here. Ditto for black Ford Explorers, the vehicle of choice among the security forces. Oh, and men's black suits.

Ate well and got my cardio in last night. Did a number of 8- to 10-degree elevation intervals, too, to work my backside - feelin' it today.

On to another good day!
