ride home. The rain and traffic was horrendous and it took us 2 hours longer to get home. It usually takes just under 8 hours (Deb and we do take 13 and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel which is up to $12 now) and I was driving forever. Too bad the people who don't like to drive in the rain can't stay out of the left lane. I also had a bathroom emergency (not eating right for almost a week) as soon as we got on the NJ Tpke...thank goodness I made it to the first rest stop. I know...too much information!! Anyway...it is so good to be home.

Looks like more surgery for my foot to get rid of the neuroma. My "quality of life" is not what I want and it is really putting a cramp in my style with being a group exercise instructor. Wearing shoes and walking a lot hurts and I can't tolerate that much more. Will call next week to schedule.

So much to do around here...don't know where to start. It could have been worse. Niece is leaving tomorrow to go to her grandma's and is flying out Friday. I can't believe the month is over already. I should be back to my "schedule" next week and here more often. Have to get to the beach though...as soon as possible if the weather cooperates.

Alice...how nice you were able to celebrate b'day party with granddaughter. I don't get much chance to do it since they live so far away, but it was nice I got it in with this visit. Thank goodness...no more Chuck E Cheese for me. I will make sure of that...I had a splitting headache afterwards from the noise and confusion.

Well..gotta go and get dinner together since company is coming over for dinner. I don't have to sub those classes tonight so I am grateful for that.

Be back later to see what is up with all.

Hugs...missed you!

Welcome back! Glad you made it home safely. A 10-hour drive in the rain? Geez, I cancelled my nephew's sleepover because of a Saturday morning downpour when it was time for all of us to be hitting to road to meet at the drop-off point. I was worried about my sister and the kids barreling through the rain in her toy car as I call it (Hyundai Accent). I didn't feel too badly about cancelling when the rain continued like that for the entire morning and well into the afternoon.

Sorry to hear about your foot and the second surgery. Will this solve the problem once and for all for you?

I sure hope this surgery will be the answer to the neuroma pain, Donna. The pay off is that the foot may be numb in that area after surgery. I do get numbness now too, so that won't change much. No pain sounds good to me right now.

I call those cars disposable cars. I would hate to be in any kind of storm with a car like that. I was a nervous wreck when DD went cross country in her friend's Hyundai. It was 3 young women alone in that death trap. So glad when she got home 3 months later in one piece.

have a good one...

Grace glad to hear you made it home safe and sound. Driving in the rain is difficult. We hit tons of it on our way down to TN. It was so hard to see, and Bill was afraid of someone driving into the back of our car trailer. Glad you got home in one piece. About your foot, I am so sorry. I hope you get the answers you are looking for and it gets better soon. Any idea when they might be able to schedual surgery? Isn't it just about a year ago now that you did the first one?

Welcome back! Enjoyed our chat yesterday. Did you get to listen to any of AcoustiCon's music on their website?
