Good morning sunshine!

We have an overcast morning here but it's supposed to clear off by afternoon.

Thursday already, where has the week gone? Thankfuls are easy, my family and friends. I do want to thank God for him helping Katie get better so quickly. Last Monday and Tuesday I was really scared but as the week progressed my fears grew less and less. Unfortunatly her ordeal will leave some scars but at least she is here. We are discussing the insurance situation and what we should do. Very hard decision.

Today I need to eat right and "spiff" the place up afterwork as Nancy said. Meeting with an OLD, OLD girlfriend tonight. We go back to elementary school together and we really drifted once we got into high school. This weekend is my 25th reunion but I am not going. However she flew in with her dd from Washington, Over by Jazzerdebs area. So we are getting together with our girls and going to dinner. Will bring her around here so there are a few things that need to be done today. As a matter of fact the kids are going to get a list of several chores for this morning like hamster cage clean out, vacume the house, empty the dishwasher, make their beds, and put away their laundry. That should keep them busy for an hour or two.

Thats my day, and game plan. Eatting smart has to take charge today. Hope you all have a great day.

Today I'm thankful for rain, even though the plan for the day is to play hooky & go to Six Flags. I'm also thankful for my family, friends, and that God is always looking out for me.

The plan for the day is a friend, her daughter, & I are going to Six Flags to celebrate my friend's birthday. There's an 80% chance of rain but I hoping that by the time we get there it will stop, at least in Arlington. If it is raining I'm sure we'll find something else to do. The only real concern I have is street flooding, since my car sits low to the ground.

It can rain here all week, we need it bad. The Lake here is down so far the docks are closed and we have only had the boat in the water twice this year, both times we had to drive to Oklahoma, whcih is where the next closest lake is.

Hope everyone has a "TERRIFIC THURSDAY" & takes some time out to enjoy the day.

Good Morning,

It is a beautiful sunshiny day with lowered humidity! Not sure what's on the agenda for today. Contemplating a workout but I've yet to been there done that stage. Still sitting in my jammies and contemplating the day. DH and I found a couch we really like for the living room so we may go back and take a 2nd look and see how dog friendly it is although I think Otto is going to have to learn that this time the living room couch is off limits.

Thankful for the good news test results I received yesterday. Thankful for this week of vacation and although we've been working really hard all week it's so nice to see the place coming together. Thankful that although my kitchen is a disaster I've pretty much taken the week off from cooking dinner although I'm not sure where those cabana boys have been hiding to serve me my food and drinks!

Hope the day is a good one!

Good morning!

It is officially muggy. Ick. 'Nuf said.

Thankfuls? For the sunshine, when it's out; it's been few days and I miss it. For the security guys all over town - we don't know if anyone had any evil in mind, but they sure would be tempting fate to try to sneak anything by these guys. For my health, which I seem to be taking for granted these days with some sloppy eating habits creeping back that no amount of exercise will overcome.

Plans for today? To make better food choices. To pass on the snacks even when the labels tell me they're "healthy". To do a concentrated, full-out workout tonight. This sounds weird, but I need to punish myself for being so blase about it lately, when I know that I always feel better after. It's so easy to make excuses, and last night's was not valid - getting home a little later than usual, when I've done many workouts in the past at 10 pm or later.

Anyway, onward and upward. Come tomorrow, we'll start getting back to normal, sitting in traffic, driving round-and-round looking for parking at the steet meters, standing in lines at the stores and takeouts, and jaywalking all over town just like we were doing before the Big Show came to town! Have a great Thursday, everyone!

So relieved to hear Katie is making such a great recovery. Kids are remarkable, aren't they?

Good morning! I was up way too late catching up on coverage of the convention, so I'm paying the price this morning.

Our trip down to Ormond Beach for the AcoustiCon concert was a good one until we got to town. The directions I got from the internet were totally wrong, so we missed the first half hour of the concert (and my favorite of their songs) by going around in circles. I was freakin' out! The weather turned out to be gorgeous. City Hall there has a park by it and is located on the intracoastal, so there was a lovely breeze and great setting. We got to hear the last hour of their concert. I talked to the guys
