Margie, it is so sad about your coworker and her husband. Boy, for serious health problems to hit them at the same time is an awful burden to bear. I will pray that they have some relief.
That was one heck of a lot of rain you got there! Hope you don't have any water damage.

I'm thankful there is nothing going on in my head today :) Thankful for my work, it's not going the best right now but at least I have a job and bless the companies heart they are still letting me have chickens.Thankful for the beautiful day today and the chance to be outside to enjoy it.Thankful always for my family and friends.Just reading Margie's post which reminds me to be very grateful for my health and my families. We take so much for granted.
Went out for a run today, it was a very slow short one.Not much umph today.Maybe I'll just look at a pic of George to get my heart rate up today.Rest of the day is chickens, mow the yard, run some errands.I need to clean house but I'm reminded of the sign that says"sweep the room with a glance".That's what I'll do most likely. If I have time I may head to the kitchen to make some incredible meal for the guys since they handled the leftovers so well.Still I hate to start things like that in case they come to expect it too often.
I'm thankful that Susan's test came back fine and that little Katie has made such a good recovery.Thankful always for the friendship, support and understanding this group offers. It's hard to believe that years ago I never got on the computer.Of course that was before I found ivillage, this group and of course .com shopping :)
Hi, Nancy! Remembering days and dates are a major event for me lately. I don't want to tell you how many times I have the panic feeling that I forgot to do something because I am thinking it is the wrong day. Thank goodness for my 2 calanders and everything written down on it as well as putting on the TV first thing to make sure it is the right day.
Always grateful for just waking up each day and being able to make something of another day. Of course, family and my friends here at FOF are something to be very grateful for.
I am surprised I am in such a good and thankful mood with my foot hurting the way it is. I know I can't do everything I want with it, but I am lucky that I can do as much as I do! Things could always be worse and I have to keep remembering that. Everytime I get in that "I hate my body" mode, I remember what my dd always says. "Thank God I have a body with 2 legs". This was after reading about someone who lost their legs and had such a great outlook on life and accomplished so much. OK...where did that all come from...must have been a bad image day in the mirror.
Taught my body sculpting class this morning...and there were 3 full walls of mirrors...so there is the body image problem. I am ok...I am doing something about it and on day 2 with staying on track. Will be teaching kick boxing and Pilates classes this evening.
I am definitely calling the podiatrist tomorrow about my foot. I was in pain just wearing my athletic shoes without doing anything. Lunges were impossible...so, my mind is made up about having the surgery to remove the neuroma. I couldn't wait to rip off my shoes when I got home and I have to put them on again tonight to teach. Good thing I do Pilates barefoot.
You sound so up, Lori! I am glad things are going your way and you have such nice things to be thankful for. Movies with DH sounds like a good deal and an excellent reason not to workout. Couple time is really important too for couple and
OK, Deb...you must be so relieved that Katie is doing so well. Kids are so resilient their scars fade better than adults.
Enjoy your visit with your old old friend. We do have to get together...hopefully next month...my schedule is looking pretty clear.
You can do it today with healthy eating and good choices....just take it one day at a time. I like you getting the kids to pitch in to get the house spiffed up.
Have fun at Six Flags. You might luck out and the crowds could be down with the chance of rain hanging over. As long as there is no lightning, you could get a good day in.
Hope you do get your rain...sorry to hear it is so dry there. WE are at the opposite end of the rain scale...we are way ahead of the average rainfall for the month.
Glad things are coming together at the house and you had a week off from cooking dinner...;). There is always an upside to having renovations besides having a new look to the house. Hope the couch is dog friendly. I am sure Otto can learn to stay off it.
Repeating myself...but thank God your test results were good ones.

Hi Rhonda,
Luckily we live on high ground so we didn't have any problems with flooding and luckily we didn't get the high winds like we did a few months back.
