I still love Saturdays, even though my days are a bit more homogenous since becoming a SAHM.

We'll be traveling, but back home after a week's visit at MIL's.

I enjoyed reading about the special things you do as a family on Saturday's.

Beautiful post and it makes me stop and think. Saturdays are different then the rest of the week. Maybe the chance to catch up. At least that is what I have planned this day. House is suffering from my 5 days this week. I have some laundry to do and my body is tiered. I thinks these last few weeks are really catching up. I wish we were staying home tomorrow but we are going racing. Our weather is weird, very humid and talk of rain. But the sun is currently out. I have little or no energy and I need to recharge my batteries. But how? With working my alone time without Katie has been just that work time. Bill is so busy with the shop he has not been home. So going out for a walk has not happened, nor has any exercise. More excuses I know, I need HELP!

Good Morning Ladies!!! Hope everyone has a Happy & Blessed Day!!! :-)

My special plans for the day is to spend it with DH. We told the kids that we weren't watching any grandkids this weekend. We haven't had a quiet weekend with just the two of us in a long time. I was hoping to get to go for a motorcycle ride but his back is bothering him. I remember seeing something about an OTC herbal drug for back pain but didn't think to write down what the med was. Does anyone out there know what the name of it is? He's got an appointment with the chiropratctor on Monday. He seems to be doing better today at least he is walking standing straight up and not humped over.

The house needs cleaning and the grass needs mowing. We had a good rain here this past week. The lake levels have gone up some but we could use another week or two of rain like that to be out of the woods. It doesn't take long for TX heat to evaporate water.

I decided I'm just going to take it easy and let the day guide me. Just do whatever comes up. I did get a little execise in this morning dancing to KC & The Sunshine Band on TV this am. (LOL) I used to have such a crush on him when I was around 12 or 13. I will get some type of exercise in, I dropped another pound this week that I need to keep off.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and all you prayers are answered.

I love Saturdays, too. It's nice to be awakened by the sun shining through the windows rather that the squeal of the alarm clock(s) while it's still dark outside. Except for the hum of the air conditioning units in the windows, this morning's been quiet. I think the neighbors are all taking the day off from yardwork / home repair. No lawn mowers, no hammering, no saws buzzing. The only outside activity there has been so far is a couple of the moms taking a leisurely stroll while a posse of little kids follows them furiously pedaling their bicycles. And my only serious activity this morning so far has been to watch them out the windows as I also saw KC and the Sunshine Band on the Today show, and to wiggle my toes in time to the music!

That's going to change in a little while. Laundry is washing and drying. I've been lazing about, so I need to have a little breakfast and then I'll get to cleaning the bathroom when I finish here, then taking care of me. I could do a workout, but you know me - I'm better focused later in the day, so I'll do one early evening before dinner. Friday night's workout was a good one, especially the two very strong sets of squats holding 10-lb weights!

It's summer in New England and there's nothing more that I would love for dinner tonight than a fried clam plate at a harborside restaurant, but that's a craving I cannot give in to because I fear another adverse reaction to them. So I'll just satisfy that craving with a deep breath when a plate passes by me on the way to a lucky diner! Or maybe we'll just stay home tonight and grill some salmon: remove the temptation and the frustration of not being able to have those luscious little bivalves!!!

So that's enough about my Saturday. Hope yours is a good one!

Good morning.Had a change in plans and decided to work after all this morning.Did a short run on my own this morning then headed to the track for a walk with my sister. So many people at the track this morning!Mostly runners too.One man ran a few laps then did sprints, really fast sprints. One woman showed up later with 2 small kids in tow.Took off her shirt, had a sports bra/top on and had fantastic abs. What a pace she ran at.I wonder if she was training for something because she would run a really fast lap, check her pulse, get some gatorade and go again.I have really slacked off this week and felt like a slug watching everyone, a fluffy one at that.

It sunny and hot here today.Going to work some more then may spend some time outside in the sunshine. The house is begging to be cleaned but it's falling on deaf ears.

Enjoy your day!!

Good Morning or almost afternoon,

Feeling very lazy today. Slept in this morning so there was no Saturday AM walk this morning. It's very humid here today and it really slows me down and I've been taking full advantage of that. Picked up my new glasses this morning and they are going to take some getting used to. There was definitely a change in the prescription and I have the progressive lenses and I'm having a little difficulty with where each prescription is where. Love the frames, they're made of titanium so they are super light weight. Been running other errands. One of DD's very good friends is getting married today and I may wander up to the church and go to the ceremony. We're also going to our grandnephew's 5th birthday party this afternoon. I guess it's a good day to enjoy being in a lazy frame of mind.

Hope you enjoy your day!

Susan
