Good Morning,

Really having a hard time getting my butt in gear this morning. Very humid again, not a breeze anywhere and looks and feels like the heavens could open up at any time and in spite of getting a good night's sleep just not feeling very energetic this AM. I want to get caught up on the laundry situation and have the house in a sense of order before the dive back into work tomorrow. I had stopped in the office on Friday to pick up my paycheck and my desk was a bit frightening! At the same time I really want to just sit back and relax today and enjoy the day-it was a week of a lot of hard work-although well worth it! So this morning it's off to Costco and then off to treat my shabby looking piggies and nails to a manicure and pedicure and in between loads of laundry get some reading time in.

Hard to believe that it's August already. Workouts and good eating habits have been really inconsistent-I'll start off a week with lots of energy and good intentions and as the week progresses the energy wanes and so do my good intentions!

Hope you enjoy your Sunday!

Repair from last week indeed! ROTFLMBO! My 3 weeks of progress went down the tubes - I stepped on the scales this morning to an additional 6 pounds. I suspect some of those are the temporary kind (water weight). And really, the ol' profile in the mirror doesn't look like there's 6 extra pounds there. All I can say is (1) I'm not surprised, and (2) thank goodness I kept running during the week at MIL's! On the upside, it'll take me no time to get back into the better habits that I'd begun earlier this month, and hopefully with the same results. So those are my goals, adding regular exercise back into the picture.

Not sure if we're going to church this morning. The Cus and I have got the activity level of slugs right now. I've got to do major grocery shopping today (no milk or orange juice, even), which means menu planning for the next week or so. I'd like to do Body Sculpt today too, while longing to be able to run in 75o weather in the middle of the day.... Hafta unpack too - computer room is piled with open suitcases with some contents scattered. You see how enthusiastic anybody is about that!

I definitely need to repair from last week! Being on vacation, I tended to slip a bit with my eating and exercising. I did get in two 2 mile runs and one 2 mile walk but it still was not enough to keep up with the bad eating habits I undertook. So starting today my eating is back on track and this afternoon or tonite I'll do a workout video. Have a great Sunday ladies!

Good morning --- oops, afternoon - everyone!

That same humidity that's plaguing Susan in LI is up here dragging all the energy out of me. Man, I've never felt such humidity without any actual precipitation falling, although it's threatening. There was a very consistent high breeze yesterday, which made a difference in how muggy it felt, but today, not even a hint of a twitch in the sheer curtains.

I wasn't planning a workout today. But since it's the beginning of a new month, I ate mucho bueno Mexicano last evening for dinner, and the calendar for July shows few red circles indicating workout days for me (I don't bother noting so-so workouts - if I don't break a major sweat, it's not noteworthy in my mind), a change in plan is in order. I'll get to the treadmill and UB work before dinner. Which should be salmon on the grill outdoors, but if it rains, Mr. Foreman will be brought to the kitchen to assist the house chef.

Have a comfortable day, ladies!

I hope you decided to take today and relax.Very sticky here today and now we're getting the rain. When you go to Costco do you ever get their muffins?I love those!!!!The post last week from Margie reminded me that I HAVE to try their pumpkin pie this year.In the past I've always thought it was too big a pie for us since I'm the only one who likes pumpkin pie.Now I'm thinking that's a very silly reason to not buy it :)

Hope your day went well and your piggies are polished and ready for a new wek!!!

Got back a while ago from 7 1/2 hours at the beach. I walked 6 1/2 hours of it, and I can feel it in my legs and hips already. Rob had two friends spend the night. They got me up at 7:30, because surf is up. There's some kind of tropical depression off the coast. We got there about 8:15, and I started walking by 8:30. It was high tide so not good for finding shark teeth yet. I was able to get in some faster walking. Sure wish I'd remembered to take my pedometer with me.

Good Evening everyone. I'm getting on board a little late. We went to Church this moring, we mowed the lawn and I'm doing some laundry. We had steaks, baked potatoes w/onion slice, & corn on the cob for dinner, all cooked on the grill. We normally don't eat this late but we didn't eat lunch (a salad w/peanut butter crackers) until around 3 PM. I didn't smother the potatoe with butter like I normally do, I used low fat sour cream. It's going to be hard getting used to baked potatoes with very little butter. I guess I should have left off the peanutbutter crackers at lunch time. The way I'm feeling right now I'm suprised I haven't run up to Braum's for a Reese Cup Sunday.

My goals for the month 1) try to be a better person; 2) drink more water & eat healthier; 3) exercise more at least more regularly and 4) start taking better care of myself & cleaning the house more regularly. Right now that's about all I can think of, for some reason I'm a little moody, maybe I'll think of something else later.

I sure hope everyone had a wonderful day.
