A new week, a new month! Are you ready for it?August is the month to squeeze out and enjoy the rest of summer. Then Sept. comes and it's time to get ready for the very special things about Fall. You know; cute sweaters and pumpkin pie :)

Ok if you guys can stand yet another chicken story....when my birds first come we only keep them in half the house for the first few days.In one house we have boards that we put up to keep them in the first half of the house. But there are always some birds that find a hole or way to climb the board and head down to the lower end of the house.I always love to see that.I think it shows they are adventuresome. They take off for the unknown, away from crowd and forge on to see what's down there.

That's how I'm going to face this week and this month.I'm going to forge ahead to the unknown of whatever this month holds for me.Already I know it brings changes, decisions and hard work. But I'm going in with the positive attitude that by the end of the month I will have met my goals and be in a better place for it.Yesterday I had an email that said 'You get what you expect", so I'm expecting the best.

So post up and tell me what's up for today, this week, this month, whatever.

Hope your Monday is Magnificent!!!!!

Miss P

Good Morning

Fearless Monday, good title, especially since it's the first day back at work and I'm going to have to be fearless to face whatever lies on my desk. I did hear tell that there was some rather loud squaking going on between two people in the office with the 3rd person ready to kill one or the other of the squakers-should be interesting stories from all parties-may just have to turn the ears off! I'm trying to get myself back into my workday routine. It's another HHH day here and thinking about a workout and since doing positively absolutely nothing since last Wednesday it should be more than a thought-I'll just have to see how the workday goes-I know excuses, excuses.

I hope everyone's day goes well!

Good story Patti! I need to start off the month and week on a positive note and that includes getting my butt back here to the board for help and motivation. Plan on eatting right today and getting some exercise in this afternoon or tonight. No more excuses! Our weather is supposed to be raining today but so far the sun is out but the humidity is high. Talked to my neighbor on Saturday and asked her is she would like to walk tonight so I have my fingers crossed she still does. If not I go alone! Got to run now, work in 20 minutes and I still need to put my makeup on and pack my cereal and water bottle for the morning. Will check back after 1 when my "paying" job is done. Have a great day everyone!

Well, got a playgroup get-together/lunch coming up shortly. Gotta finish making the potato salad. Al and I are going to go see "ET" tomorrow at the free summer matinees. Thursday she's got Story Time, and in the evening a "Welcome" at her school for Kindergarteners. Saturday, the beach. Trying to get some fun in these last carefree days for Allison - now she's the one who's excited and I'm the one with an empty spot in me.

Don't know if I'll get in a workout today - I didn't yesterday. Body Sculpt would be a good move. For now, I've got to get that potato salad made!

Loved the chicken story!

Leaving in a few for my hour of training (15 min cardio warmup + 45 min training), then an hour of Jazzercise.

I loved reading Siddharta in the 70's. There is an old western that had Don Johnson in it when he was young, and so help me, it had to be based on Siddharta. Sure wish I could remember the name of it.

Good morning! Always enjoy your chicken stories (and others), Patty.

It's hot and overcast here. I guess it has something to do with that tropical depression. Saw that the storm is heading for the Carolinas. Sure hope you're not in its path, Linda.

I got the lawn mowed yesterday evening even after 6 1/2 hours of walking, so that is done. Think I'll give my lower body a break and do some overdue shrubbery trimming to work the upper body and get the yard in better shape.

John Edwards is coming to town this evening to speak. If I can make it, I'm going to be out front with other Republicans with Bush signs. ;-)

Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!
