I did have a good day. My boss was glad to see me back and I've been told that maybe I should think of taking vacation days on Saturdays and Sundays-my response-nice try but I still have 2 weeks left! Nothing too overwhelming or pressing was left on my desk although a pile exists but can be taken care of at my own pace.
Dinner was super simple with grilled turkey sausages, a pasta salad I put together this morning before work and fresh corn from the garden. I wasn't feeling very inspired to do any type of workout but knew I needed to do something so I headed out the door and ended up walking 2 miles. It took me a full 40 minutes and not sure whether the sweat pouring down was from walking or merely the act of moving. No matter, it made me feel better! Otto and I then headed out for his daily after dinner walk. I was able to get a little reading time outside before the light faded.
I now have bank statement in hand ready to balance my checkbook, a shower and then into the ac for hopefully a good night's sleep!
I had a good day, Nancy! I got what I needed to get accomplished at work. At home - well, there's always tomorrow, and the next day, and the next......
I'm really pleased I got in a very good workout and ate healthily, too. I'm not even curious about the ice-cream sandwiches in the freezer (for the moment), and if I'm really fortunate, after my shower I'll feel sleepy enough to just go get the towels out of the dryer, settle in with DH and a couple of good magazines each, and hit the feathers immediately afterward.
Gonna do the oral hygiene routine so I won't be tempted to eat again tonight and then shower. Have a great sleep, everyone!
Today's been a good day in spite of all the critters in the yard. I was watching a cardinal family in and under the tangelo tree and took some Cherrios out for them. A hungry squirrel invited himself over, so all but one of the birds went in the tree. I decided to watch from my bathroom window to see if they'd come back. I was enjoying watching them when something caught my eye. I looked over by the fence and thought it was a hose. It was one of those darn black racers, and I think it might have been after one of the birds!! I went out to try to find it, but couldn't. It'll be lurking waiting to pop out at me when I least expect it, no doubt.
Then, I was trimming shrubs this afternoon and came across wasps or hornets in 4 different shrubs! I guess I got my cardio in running and screaming each time I found them. I sprayed two of the nests, but saved two for Tim's pleasure. He gets so pysched about getting to spray wasps. LOL!
I have plenty of books to read since 4 (I was thinking it was 5 earlier) books and 2 magazines arrived in the mail today. That "First" magazine has some really good information in it about all sorts of things.
The overcast weather we're having must have put me in the fall baking mode prematurely. I baked two different things Saturday night and now I've got a yellow cake mix that I put blueberries in and sprinkled sugar and cinnamon across the top baking in the oven. I can't blame Rob and friends this time, because he's spending the night out. Tim is checking its progress periodically.
Ok---I must fess up, my gf is probably going to start working full time so I'm losing my #1 work out buddy, plus we've been learning some groovy new dance moves at Jazzercise...so I ummmmmm did four (4) hours of fitness today :o).
Well, you sound as though you had a really good day, and as long as you feel good about it, that's what counts. I don't think you'll have to worry about the calories from your dessert after a day like today. Wish I had your energy!

Well I finished yesterday off well. Did alright in my eatting. My neighbor bailed on our walk but around 9:30 I decided to go swimming. The kids were upstairs, and I was very warm from cooking and then cleaning up dinner. I put my suit on and jogged for about 10 minutes in the pool. Not easy work. Had some tea and a WW frozen desert and then hit the hay. Today is a new day!
