Sorry but no play on words would come to me this morning so I just decided that Thursday is the day so Thursday it will be.

I didn't wake up grumpy, just totally out of it. I stayed up too late watching Animal Planet (yes, really). At least my headache from yesterday is gone. Story time for Allison today, a few errands, time at the pool sounds good, and tonight we meet her K teacher (Ms. P, rather than Ms. N) at school. Despite my shortened sleep, I'm in tune today, though a nap might be in order. I've no reason not to smile! Probably no workout today either. Normally it'd drive me crazy not to work out, but since I set my mind to it, I'm enjoying the break. It helps knowing that I'll be back into it next week.

Thankfuls:

  • Thankful for Allison's teacher - a friend of mine who used to teach music at the school thinks highly of Ms. P and would choose her for her own child if she could. Gentle-spirited but still authoritative, nothing rattles her cage, 20 or so years of teaching experience. Sounds like a good fit for Allison.

  • Thankful for cooler weather coming down the pike tomorrow - mid 80s instead of mid 90s and lows in the low 60s by Saturday! (And low dew points too, meaning less humid.)

  • Thankful for the beach which we'll hopefully see again this weekend.

  • Thankful for God's wonderful and marvelous creations. Going to the zoo will make you think about things like that.

  • Thankful for kitchen organization! I've been doing a bit of that lately and like the results.

  • Thankful for a hardworking, loving husband who'd rather be home with his family than anywhere else.

  • Thankful for friends, both local and online where I'm accepted with all my foibles and flaws.

You ladies take care.

Good Morning,

It is a cloudy day here and looks like the threat of rain but that's OK-DH's garden could use some of nature's water instead of the hose! Woke up to a visit from Aunt Flo. It's funny how I went over a year thinking that this stage of life was done and complete and now she's back on a regular basis ah yes becoming a woman all over again! I guess that would explain the extra tight feeling pants this morning!

Anyway, I did get a good stretching workout last night after much contemplation. I'm setting my sights for some cardio and weights this evening. I've got my crockpot on standby for a chicken and shrimp dish for dinner this evening.

Nothing much on the agenda today except for slaying the dragons at work.

I am very thankful for a job that I enjoy, close to home and bosses that have been exceptionally good to me over the past 12 years.

Thankful, in spite of the last few days of the muggies the beauty of summer, the longer days and the ability to be able to get out there and enjoy it and the vegetables from our garden that we've been able to include in our daily meals.

Thankful for the women of this board that have become such a special part of my daily life.

I hope you all enjoy a terrific Thursday!

Good morning Nacy and everyone. It is a fall like morning here.Cool and overcast. Suppose to warm up and then a cold front comes thru to cool it down for the weekend.Nothing has been normal about the weather lately. It's either really hot or unusually cool.Weird.

I'm thankful for something DS did on Tuesday morning. He's heading out to work, tells me goodbye and off he goes.A minute later the door opens again and he says"Hey, Mom I love you."His dirty room and teenager moods are all forgiven :)

I think I'm heading out for a run. Then I think I may head uptown and find myself something healthy but different for lunch.Flo and the rain are due to hit here the same time.Could be ugly!

Running late to get ready for my NOON Cowford Ball planning meeting, so I will have to read all the posts and respond later. Just wanted to drop by to say Good Morning!

Good morning, friends!

I think...I see it....yup, it's the sun. It's breaking through the storm clouds a bit, along with a cool breeze and cleaner air at last.

Today is clean-up day at the office. At my cube, anyway. Got a pile o' files that need to go to their proper homes, and a lot of reference e-mails that I have to move into their archives on the off-chance that they might actually contain some future useful information. Kind of like keeping old Post-Its.

DH didn't want to take a walk last evening, so I hit the tread and did some UB work after. Nothing to collect any awards, for, but at least I got moving. I'll try to be more enthusiastic about my workout tonight - big-muscle LB work on the agenda; that always makes me feel powerful.

Thanksfuls for today: For my DH, who ages better than fine wine. For the kids, who are aging just too da&^ fast! And for a wonderful e-mail from a dear and distant friend that I never expected in a million years. Quite the smile-brightener.

Have a great day, everyone!

Woke up tired today and still tired. However, I am still thankful I woke up and my body is working ok. Taught the body sculpting class this morning and have to teach 2 more classes tonight. Other than that, nothing much else happening. Going to make stuffed peppers for dinner since that is what I want for a change. Thankful that

Sounds like a good day today even though you are off to your paying job. Weather is cooler today too, but a little rainy. I still turned the AC off and opened the windows. Needed some fresh air.

Have a lovely, thankful day.

Glad you are enjoying your break from exercise. It does recharge the batteries for better workouts when you get back to it.

At least you have an excuse to be tired..I wish I did.

Have a good day and nap if you decide to take one.
