Hey all, I haven't forgotten you, just been working on lots of issues.

I am in Georgia, the spouse is in Germany - haven't seen him since Christmas, although he was in the States for 6 weeks over the summer, he couldn't make it my way, and I didn't go see him. 'Nuff said.

The son dropped out of college over the winter and moved in with me in a scantily furnished one bedroom apartment just over a month ago - he has the sunroom floor - and I pray daily that he will get his life together soon.

I haven't even worked out for a month - Joined the gym here, the office pays half of my membership, so I can't not, just haven't been motivated lately and am really starting to feel sluggish and *fluffy*

Guess I need to just put some of the issues and problems on hold on occasion, and see if I can get myself going again...the poetry muse has not been whispering in my ear since the son arrived, either, so there you have it - sounds kinda sad, doesn't it.

I wish I were in Georgia right now.I'd show up on your doorstep, give you a big hug and take you out for coffee, a walk, whatever you needed.I'm so glad you posted, I had been thinking about you the other day.You know exercising every day is not a requirement for posting here.Having all the answers and a life neatly in order isn't either, thank goodness.Sometimes when issues and problems get to be too much it is best to put them on hold. But I've found that to be easier said than done.

If coming to the board and posting helps in any way I hope you will. But if now is just not the right time just know we'll be here for you when the time is right.

You're in my thoughts. Take care.

Little, I'm so happy to see you post! You're missed around here. I hate to hear that things are so tough right now. Life has its way of taking us out at the knees sometimes, but if we can be strong and take it one day at a time, we usually can make it through. I call these episodes "character building," but sometimes I feel my character has been built enough. I'm sure you feel that right now too.

Patty summed it up very well about posting here. If you had to exercise all the time, I'd never get to post. ;-). And, I think we're all still works in progress trying to get it all together. Sometimes we're more together than others. Those times when we're not, we know we can always come here for caring and support. In fact, those times are probably when we need to post the most.

If you ever feel like heading south, maybe we could meet halfway sometime for lunch or whatever. Hope you'll post more often.

Take care and big hugs,

Rhonda

Little - I thought of you this spring and wondered how you had settled into life back in the States. I'm glad to see a post from you, but I'm so sorry to hear of the bumps you've encountered. It's so easy to let them get you down, but I have faith that someone who can pick up and move half-way around the world can overcome whatever "stuff" life hands her. Drop by the board when you can - it's strictly "come as you are" here.

And I sincerely hope the poetry Muses speak to you again soon. You have a beautiful gift - don't let it wither.....

Hugs,

Donna

Hugs, Little! Nice to see you posting...any post is welcome here. We are here for support in all areas of health and fitness...and that includes emotional help and understanding.

Sorry you are having such a hard time right now. It is very hard to see grown children flounder around with no direction. I do hope he gets things in order and moves on with his life. Just too hard to go through that.

Try getting to the gym. You will be around people and it might be just what you need. Start with a goal of going 2 or 3 times a week and just do what you really like. The hardest part is just going! Maybe you will make some new friends too. Exercise does help you feel better physically, mentally and emotionally. I don't know what I would do without it when things are crazy here.

I sure hope you get poetry "whispers" again.

Hang in there and please post often.

HUGS

Sorry for your troubles. Who says that once they grow up life get easier for us moms? Hang in there and please do not stay away from here. If exercising daily was a must to post I would have been tossed out on my butt months ago. You are lucky you have the option of going to a gym. Maybe try and allow yourself 30 minutes two nights a week and see how that goes. Hugs to you either way and please post more.
