**Bring it to Fruition Friday**

I'm talking with a friend the other day about some plans that fell thru. I said I was trying to figure out when to try again. She said"You are determined to bring this to fruition aren't you?"My first response was "Huh???".She started to explain the word to me and I said that no I understood the word just never heard anyone really use it.So I was thinking about it later and looked it up.The definition was 1) completetion...the point at which something has come to the desired outcome. 2) enjoyment of the outcome when it happens. It comes from the latin word frui which means to enjoy.
So that makes me stop and wonder if I have brought anything to fruition this week.Have I set a goal that will bring me enjoyment when I reach it?Am I willing to work hard enough to reach the desired outcome?
So how about you? When Friday ends will you have brought something to fruition? Will you maybe have completed a work project that needed to be done? Will you have called a friend you've been meaning to?Maybe finished a workout that is harder than one you normally do?Passed up a food that you always give in to?It's important sometimes to set goals, to push ourselves alittle harder and to savor the enjoyment of reaching the desired outcome.
Ok class dismissed ;) Go and enjoy your day!!!!

Good lesson today, Patty.

It's a beautiful day here. The temperatures are cool and the sun is shining although we never did get the rain that was expected. It's great to have the windows open and the refreshing air coming in.
No exercise planned for the day. Flo is really taking terrible liberties with me and Advil and I have become best friends. This is stuff I haven't had to deal with since I was probably a teenager-maybe that means I'm going backward in age-maybe Patty and I will be the same age soon! And I know this is all water weight but I haven't weighed this much in 2 years which made zipping my jeans for Casual Friday quite an ordeal!
Nothing much on the agenda today other than work which should be a very quiet day-one boss and Miss Sunshine won't be in the office-the other boss is leaving early-the bookkeeper switched days she was working and even the law clerk is out-doesn't leave too many of us left to mind the store! After work is grocery shopping-time to restock the fridge and shelves-where does all that food go so quickly?
Hope whatever you're plans are for the day that the day is good one!

Good morning. Great post Patty, which gives me some food for thought.
Getting ready to run out the door for my weekly day of data entry at headquarters.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and is looking forward to a great weekend. I'll have to add the Friday Five later in the day. It just dawned on me that I hadn't done them.
Did we have Thankful Thursday yesterday? I am so out of it.
Later.

At the end of the day, you will have finished your work week. So see, you have accomplished something.
Have a good one....

Hi, everyone! TGIFriday and I hope an easy one. Along with the office cleanup yesterday, I got my calendar for August filled in and placed an e-mail to my immediate supervisor (the good guy) alerting him to the critical mass that will occur in the last week of August/first week of September; I'm hoping he'll tell me that we're passing on a couple of the items I've listed.
My coworker friend who's wedding day is 66 days away is on her own for the weekend, so I invited her over for dinner tonight. She's a fish-eating vegetarian, and DH has embraced fish wholeheartedly this summer, so that simplifies the shopping and cooking after work.
When she heads home, I'll get the house ready for the Prince's arrival. We're looking forward to a fun weekend of mini-golf and soft-serve ice cream, batting practice, possible pool time (although it's going to be cool), running around the local playgrounds, Jimmy Neutron videos and, I hope, healthy eating. I think the kid is a shark - constantly trolling for food....
Have a good day! Make it productive; work hard, but work smart, and take stock of everything you do - you'll be surprised at how much you really do accomplish in a day.
Hugs,
Donna

Today is beautiful outside. We slept with the AC on but when I got up at 4 and went downstairs I was surprised how much it had cooled off and how the humidity had gone down. Hubby opened the windows before he left for work this morning. Its only 65 degrees with a high of maybe 75. I can take this, although it makes the pool seem less inviting. My big day off...........Slept until 9 and I just finished my morning tea. Going to make myself a scrambled egg with some mushrooms in it and then get this house in order. I have a huge, long list of things to do and I will try like heck to get it all done by the end of the day. Katie is having friends over around noon and then she has riding at 2:30. I had the "guys" working on my hole in my kitchen cealing last night. They mounted a new electric box for the cealing fan and hopefully Bill will get someone over within the week to resheetrock. I am playing hostess for my sisters rehursal dinner and I really want the place to look nice. I think later this afternoon, after the house is cleaned, the friends have come and gone, the riding is over I will take a walk or bike ride by myself. I could really use it. Hope the rest of you have a wonderful day which leads into a great weekend.

Today I'm packing for our beach trip tomorrow, maybe making muffins for breakfast tomorrow. Need to update my finances on the 'puter. Don't know if I'll work out - I think I'd rather go to the pool with Allison. I want to hit one or two stores for tax-free shopping today, but Allison is pretty well outfitted for summer and early fall, and that's all that's available right now. Dinner tonight, we're being bad and having a DiGiorno's pizza; it's gotta be better than a greasy restaurant pizza.
I've managed to bang up my left hand pretty good in the last 24 hours. While I was fixing the beach umbrella, I sliced my middle finger with a box cutter. It's one of these cuts which are easily reaggravated. Then this morning, while heating up a Pop-Tart, one broke and some of the filling landed on my thumb - blistered immediately and didn't stop hurting until 30 minutes ago. It is very much like a grease burn. At least it's not open. I'll bet the salt water on our beach trip will help!
