Question about home exercise equipment

Hello,

I have popped in here a few times before, and it seems like a friendly group. Does anyone here have home exercise equipment other than a treadmill? I am looking to buy one piece of equipment that will give me a total body workout. It would be great if my husband could use it as well.

I have the Total Gym. I've had it for 5 years and still use it.Though honestly not as much as when I first got it.I go between it and free weights. It's easy to use, to set up and it doesn't take alot of time to get a workout in.When I first got it I was mainly walking and had lost some weight. But once I started using the total gym I really saw a difference in my body.I would imagine adding any weight program would give you the same results. You and your husband could both use it and you don't have to change or add weights to it.You just increase the incline setting to add more resisitance.I've always had good luck with their customer service too, when I've needed to order something. In 5 years I've only replaced one part and it was done free of charge.

Good luck with what ever you get.

Your name seems familiar. Welcome, back! We have a weight bench setup, a thigh machine, have had an elaborate weight setup, a couple of ab machines, and still have an electric treadmill. You'd think with the convenience of having it here, I'd use it, but I do better going to a club where I can't be distracted.

It really depends on how much you want to spend on the equipment, how much you plan to use it and what your goals are.
