Good morning everyone. How are you all?Isn't it funny how without meeting we've become part of each others lives. As I was posting this morning Margie popped in my head.I picture her at home making DH a nice breakfast and enjoying their day off together. What's everyone up to today?Donna, enjoy the sleepover.

No workout for me today.A friend is meeting up with me later and taking me into the city.Says I need to get off the farm and see the world out there.WHY????There is talk of taking me to get a makeup makeover.Today could be Simple Life in reverse.Country girl goes to the city, scary!!!!I can only hope no power panties will be involved in today :)

Enjoy your Saturday!!!

Hope you enjoy the day in the city. I grew up in the country and so did my kids. I loved it and hope to some day move back to the country. Where I live now is in the outskirts of the city limits in a small community. It's nice but there's nothing like country life. The kids laugh at me because whenever I have to go to the store or something I still say "I'm going to town". (lol)

DH & I are going to the lake today, between water skiing, swimming, and bouncing around in a tube I think I'll get plenty of a workout. The week before last we got a good rain and the lake levels rose about 20% (thank you Lord). DS & his girlfriend are supposed to meet us there, and youngest DD & her boyfriend also might show up later this after noon. My oldest grandson was to spend the weekend so he could go but he got in trouble for the 2nd time at the Boy's & Girl's Club so I told him he was grounded and couldn't go this time (his mom was planning on taking him shopping this tax free weekend anyways). The last time he got in trouble I had him write me a paragraph of atleast 50 words of why he did what he did. I figured that was better than just writing sentences. I pick him up each day from the Boy's & Girls Club and keep him unitl his mom (oldest DD) gets off work. I didn't tell him yet that he'll get to go the next time, hopefully next weekend.

Good news, since I started drinking green tea and more water I have actually lost 3 lbs. It has been the boost of motivation I have been needing to stay on track. Well hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I'm looking forward to mine, we've only been to the lake twice this year so I'm excited and tomorrow we can actually hand wash the vehicles, mine hasn't had a good waxing in so long.

Everyone have a Safe, Fun, & Blessed weekend. Remember to smile it'll make you feel better.

Good Morning,

Patty hope you have a great time in the city. A makeup makeover sounds like fun. I always wanted to do that.

Alice have a great time at the lake. Sounds like a great and fun way to spend a Saturday!

Today is going to be a bit in slow motion day. I'm a bit off from a 2 day run in with a headache and didn't get much sleep last night. I had trouble falling asleep and then a phone call at 2AM which always has a tendancy to put my heart into my throat left me wide awake. It was at that point I realized DS wasn't home and when that happens I lay awake until I hear him come in. There was also the restless dog syndrome and when at last I feel asleep DD came in to say goodbye at 5:30 as she was leaving for the airport for a week's vacation. I'm hoping she has a real smooth flight as she was a bundle of nerves over the flight. Needless to say I'm feeling very tired this morning and didn't make it up for my Saturday AM walk. I'm not envisioning any workout other than the usual routine Saturday household chores. It's going to be very quiet around here the next few days. Oldest DD left for vacation, middle DD is taking a mini vacation in MA until Tuesday and well DS he's more or less at work or out with his friends more than he is at home-he's sort of like a hotel guest!

I am hoping to finally get a coat of stain on our new front door and the polyurethane on the front window ledge and my photos hung back on the living room wall to finally complete the finishing touches of the living room.

That's about it in my neck of the woods. I thought it was supposed to be a sunny but cool day but so far is a kind of gray and cool day.

Hope you all enjoy a wonderful Saturday!

Yes Patty, it really is strange how we've all become a part of each other's lives.

It's funny you should mention thinking about each other. As I was reading the post about the round tummy I thought, well, there's always Patty's Power Panties! LOL! Then, visions of you wrestling with them popped into my head, and I couldn't help but smile. I'd love to have a makeover day. Sounds like so much fun. We'll want to hear all about how it turns out, of course.

We're taking it easy around here this morning, reading the paper, getting breakfast, etc. Rob and a friend who stayed over are still sleeping. The weather here is a lot cooler and way less humid, which will make it comfortable for the big fish fry we're going to today. It's been in the mid to upper 90's with high humidity and is going to be only about 86 with low humidity today. Big change!

Our main activity will be working at a fish fry for Congressman Bill McCollum, running for the U. S. Senate. He was already a congressman for 20 years

News flash for the country Princess...Front Royal is NOT a city. It's a small town :) You'll feel right at home. Now...come on out to Fairfax County and let me show you the big city lights!

Hope you have a great time! After you succeed in venturing to FR, Manassas is only another 20 minutes due East. We'll meet there SOON!

Hugs.

Sassy

Sure hope your head feels better soon and that you're able to get some rest. Maybe the door and all could wait until tomorrow. Positive thoughts go out to all your children in their travels near and far.

Front Royal has a really good Taco Bell, right Patty?? ;-) Not to mention some neat caverns Rob and I explored. I know, not exactly city sights...

Morning ladies, yes it is funny how we are apart of each others lives. I often think about each of you during my day and wonder how you guys are. I have trouble on the weekends waiting until my tea is done with hubby before posting. We have our first cup on Saturday and Sunday together to share our plans for the day. I often sit there thinking, let me just post to the girls first. But he does not get it! MEN!

Patti - Enjoy your day in the "city" and your makeover. I always wanted to have one and never did. The power panties is funny and brings a question to mind. Have you ever tried the ones advertised on the info-mercials? Looks like a pair of biking shorts. Talk about a struggle to put on. Holy cow!

Alice - Enjoy you day at the lake. We do not have lakes here on Long Island. We have the Great South Bay that leads to the Ocean on one side and on the other is the Long Island Sound. Congts with the missing 3 pounds. Does the green tea really help, thinking of picking some up myself. How do you drink it?

Susan - Hope your head feels better. Sorry about your bad nights sleep, or lack of. Maybe a nap this afternoon on your special chair might be in order. Hope you get your doors and windows stained too.

Nancy - Becareful on your drive to meet your son. Hope you have a nice lunch. Living on a farm is alot of work. Does hubby do it all by himself or does he have employees?

Rhonda - Have fun at your fish fry. I am sure you will be busy working but I have a feeling with your family there it will be fun too. Maybe a beach day for Rob tomorrow, poor baby........lol.

The weather here is cool and it feels great. We woke at 8:15 to the new people having trees taken down. Bill was pissed, since he is up at 5:45 every morning. Had our morning coffee/tea and will start our day. Cleaned 99% of the house yesterday so cleaning is low key today. Have a few errands to run and I think I will treat myself to a few new fish for my fish tank today. Katie is going out with my FIL later and Bill will be at the shop so maybe getting my nails done might be nice. That is my day.......not to exciting. Have a great weekend everyone!!
