It must be a sleepy Sunday because no one has come to the board yet.

Sorry Nancy nothing exciting going on here on Long Island. We were up around 8, which felt great. Actually Bill and I had our morning tea/coffee on the back porch. Sun is shinning in and it feels wonderful. Cool temps around her these last few days and we too have the windows open. I dislike AC so this really feels good. Actually wore jeans yesterday. Today is going to be another low key day here. Just heading up to the shower in a minute, took a steak out for tonights dinner and Bill is outside vacuming the pool. We are probley going to take a drive out to the east end of Long Island and get some home grown veggies, and maybe 2 new hanging plants for the front porch. While we were away in TN, Billy did not water my other ones. There is a car show out in Sayville today and it might be a stop on our way home. Nice to check out the cars and stroll the town. It all depends on Katie's cooperation. Hope everyone has a great day!

It was a sleepy Sunday here. DH and both slept in until 8:30 pretty much unheard of around here. We had a leisurely breakfast (which DH made) and we've both been puttering. I always like to have the house in order before the paying work week starts. A bit of an obsession with me and sometimes results in the relaxation being taken out of the weekend. But with the exception of our bedroom which is mostly DH's disaster (which he's working on) and the dog hair disaster because Otto likes to sleep on my side of the bed next to the window things around here aren't too bad. I do need to pick up something for dinner and some fruits and vegetables and get my nails done and will probably take a ride with DH to see MIL and SIL and he can fix their ceiling fan. I guess since it's going on 10:30 that pretty much takes up the day.

It is a beautiful day here on LI like Deb said and I need to get my dose of Vitamin D in the sunshine too!

Hope you have a glorious Sunday!

Good Morning Nancy, Deb, & everyone else. Nancy the cycle ride for ice cream sounds like a nice way to wind down a day. Deb, I love car shows. Wish I was doing either. The weather here in Texas has been really nice this summer, not to many 100+ degree days and we have actually been getting some rain. Hopefully, we will get out of this drought. I thinking maybe we'll get snow this winter, which I miss (I grew up in Ohio).

The plan for the day was to wash cars, the city recently lifted our water ration restrictions. Guess what, it's raining so wont be doing that. Plenty of inside chores needing done. Also need to take a trip to Wolly World (Walmart). Had fun at the lake. It was a little windy when we first got there, but I said a prayer and God made the winds die down some so we could ride the tube, didn't get to water ski though.

I really enjoy reading and visiting with all of you. DH found a Honda Motorcycle Board site, which he goes to all the time. I told him it would be nice if I could find one that was just like this one. I am glad that all of you are out there to help support and answer guestions.

Hope everyone

Yep, I sacked in until 8am this morning. We got home from the beach (my post under "How Was Your Saturday?) at around 9:30pm last night, and sacked out immediately. Still have some beach unpacking to do. Today... I was going to run as it was beautiful outside, but frankly, with a sunburn on my back, I couldn't have imagined wiggling into the sports' bra. No enthusiasm for Body Sculpt either, though I'm thinking of doing some abs work. If not, one more day of ease for me in that area, though I'll be tidying up the house and doing beach laundry, plus changing towels and sheets which is needed.

Tomorrow, Allison will start Kindergarten. Both Dad & I will be taking her - she saw her classroom Thursday night at the general open house, has already made a friend and is very, very excited. As we settle into a new routine, I'll be able to work out or run in the morning after dropping her off. Hopefully we'll find a small carpool with on riding to and from school. Eventually, I think she wants to ride the bus home, but we'll handle that later.

Good evening! Rob got me up at 7:30 to take him and 2 friends to the beach. We've been having a mini nor'easter, so surf is up. It was also cloudy, extremely windy, and the surf and currents were rough. The tide was the opposite of the way I like it for shark teeth hunting, but I found some good ones (haven't counted yet), then spent probably close to an hour or more sitting on the rail of the boardwalk trying to see if I could see the boys beyond the whitecaps. No luck.

I walked probably only 1/2 of what I did last week and still did over 16,000 steps. I have no clue how far that is because my steps are irregular and usually smaller than when power walking, which is what I have the pedometer stride setup for. I'm amazed I didn't get a sinus headache from the wind blowing on my forehead so hard.

We took the boys home, then ran by the grocery store. Fortunately, we ate on the way home, so I don't have to cook! I read the paper this afternoon and got some laundry
