Threatening Thursday here...

The gov. has declared a state of emergency here, because we may be slammed by two strong storms at the same time. Bonnie is coming ashore at the Panhandle part of the state from the Gulf and Charlie is heading up the East Coast when it gets north of the Bahamas. We've been really fortunate here in recent years, so hope our luck holds out.
I'd like to finish the yard work I started Tuesday. I didn't realize how high and thick the grass had gotten, plus edging was really tough as thick as the grass it. Even after I cut the runners, I had to go back and pull them by hand. Got some of the blowing done, but still need to do the driveway and some of the curbs. I've been working at trying to get the weeds pulled, but they are much more persistent about growing than I am about pulling.
Hope everyone makes the most of this day. It's the only 8/12/04 we'll ever have! Make it count.

Sure hope the storms don't come your way. You're sort of in that path they like to take, so I'll be praying they head out to sea.
It's great that you and Allison have a devotional together and that you're doing so well with your pushups, etc.

Yard work here doesn't end. It just changes with the seasons, but I don't mind. Some people mow year-round, but I don't. I think it's stronger in the winter if it's let grow and the roots are more covered.
Bummer about the weather for the bar-b-q and wedding -- every bride's nightmare. Maybe you will get lucky up there. We can hope.
I am just so sorry to hear about the ordeal you're having with your feet. You've gone through so much for such a long time, and now there's no guarantee it will be much better. Seems with all of the medical technology there is, science could find a better treatment or cure for foot problems. I truly hope this will be the solution and there will be no bad after effects.
Hugs,
Rhonda

I hoping for the best result for you from the surgery.
Hey, on my wedding day there was a monsoon up here. I remember walking from here to there saying "Please, no mud, no mud". I didn't get any mud spattered on me. And we're going on 22 yrs married, so maybe there's something to that good luck tale.....
Sorry to hear you're feeling so down Grace.
