Good morning everyone.Hope everyone is ok today.Anyone still being affected by the storm.Susan, hope your DD had a safe trip home. Keeping her in my thoughts.Phyllis, I can't wait to hear about the hike.

I had tv on and thought I saw that there are 138 days left in the year.I tried to do a search to double check it but there was copying and pasting and math involved!!!!So anyway....I'm trying to decide what I'm going to do with the rest of the year, I want to make it count!!!!

So what's up for everyone today?Anyone working out?Taking some time to plan next weeks schedule?Taking some time to rest and relax? However you're spending the day I hope you are dry , safe and enjoying it.Take care everyone!

Good Morning,

It's a soggy Sunday here. I don't think we got the rain over night that they were expecting and certainly not the wind. I've yet to hear the forecast for the rest of day but it's certainly raining now. We got home from our visit with friends just as it started to rain and we had a really enjoyable visit with them and spend the afternoon on their deck. Pleasant company, good food and good conversation-makes for a nice day. DD got home safe and sound and actually a few minutes early. The flight home was uneventful and actually smooth flying as compared to the trip there.

As I wasn't home all day yesterday, lots of things to get caught up on. A trip to Costco is in order, DD is bugging me to run to the GAP with her and to get things in order for our garage sale that we have slated for next Saturday. I forgot to place the ad for the sale in our local Pennysaver and not sure how we'll do without advertising-but lots of things to organize and that I need and want to get out of here. The rule is whatever we don't sell doesn't come back into the house! No workout involved in the day-just a day trying to fit too much stuff into too few hours!

Hope your day is a good one and if it's soggy like here-stay dry!

Pounded the pavement for about 3 miles this morning. Cool, but very humid. We're heading to church in a bit. Cleaning is on agenda for the day!

Good morning!

Charley has come and gone and we're none the worse for wear. Just a lot of rain overnight in my area, no audible wind and no visible wind damage. It's still overcast and there's a nice little refreshing breeze, so I've opened all but two windows and hope to give the house a good airing. I havent heard the local news, so I don't know what's happened anywhere else in New England.

Since we were expecting today to be a washout, I decided to head into the Italian North End for one of those feasts that I posted about this time last year. Spent the afternoon with my mom, sister, the kids, and my sister's MIL, to get her mind off the storm damage in Orlando (her daughter and family live there, and neither she nor my BIL had heard from her yesterday). We ate (fried calamari - after fried clams, which I can't eat, this is my favorite kind of fried fish - and I shared a fresh canoli with my sister), checked out the vendors, listened to the old time Italian tunes, and headed home before the real party started Saturday evening because it got very cloudy very suddenly and quickly. The rains held out until the wee hours, though. Today is the last day of this feast, and it's usually a big draw. I'm staying home with DH for a nice quiet day. Big crowds and city commotion are not his cup to tea.

I'll be working out today at some point to pay back that half a canoli. If the skies brighten, I might head out for a walk; if not, then the treadmill and all-over weight work. House cleaning is in order, too - since DH got all the yardwork out of the way yesterday while I was out having fun, there won't be any grass clippings, etc to track into the house, so I'll be washing floors along with the other usual stuff.

Hey, only 2 months to Asheville!!!

Have a great day, everyone!

Signing back on to say I decided against running - didn't have my running shoes, shorts or top with me.

The coldest I think I've ever been in my life was in a whale watching boat off the coast of Monterey in August!!! I know what you're talking about.

Charley is long gone, but we had harder rain at the beach and on the way home early this afternoon than we did from Charley!! I have a few small limbs down, but no worse than a normal bad storm here. Again, we were SO lucky!

I walked 5 1/2 hours yesterday and found 105 shark teeth. Most are smaller ones. Really thought there'd be lots of "treasure" on the beach from the storm, but I guess it has to approach from the Atlantic instead of the Gulf. Most of the beach had
