~~Inspirational Monday~~
| Mon, 08-16-2004 - 6:35am |
Good morning everyone!I have been so inspired by the posts on the board lately.Nancy found a way to combine fitness and a great cause. In doing so she realized what great shape she is in and that it had nothing to do with the scale.Phyllis had a goal in her mind and she made it happen this weekend. I was rereading the account of the man who had done the hike and was just amazed at what a challenge it must be.Ladyirish has been making wise food choices and seeing it pay off.Amboot has set a goal for herself with the race she has entered.Reading about all these things motivates me more with my fitness goals but it does more than that.It makes me want to get the most out of each day whether it be with fitness, work, friendships whatever. We're so lucky to have each other to inspire and motivate each other in so many areas of our lives.
So how are you starting your new week?Anyone trying new workout routines?Sticking with what works?Anyone have any new projects for this week?Something you want to get done before summer ends?
Enjoy your day amd make the most of it!!!

WOW...you are such an inspiration to come to the board and read!
I'm off and running (well not literally) this morning. After having a play weekend reality has hit me square in the face and I've got some ground to cover. Trying to get a lot accomplished before I leave for work while the ambition is still flowing. The head is in a whirl and so am I. Haven't thought about workout plans at all-not much inspiration coming from me this morning. Well off to marinate some chicken for tonight's menu.
Hope you all have a great Monday!

How nice to come this morning to such an upbeat post, Patty.

I've got a goal in mind - an 8K on Sept 4th, with a few hills toward the end of the race. I've bumped up my running to 3x a week and have restarted Body Sculpting. My running will be including Big Hill in my n'hood to get ready for the race. Next thing I need to do is cut out the sweets & fatty snacks again and the more-than-once-a-week but-not-daily drink like I did last month which gave me some success. I tell ya... MIL just stuffs us with stuff! LOL!
I'll be hitting the pavement here shortly for 3-4 miles, tackling Big Hill again. I still need to unpack from our weekend at MIL's, and do a bit of laundry. No house cleaning needed, because I did that before I left. Yippee! Other than that, more organization, and I might start working on getting estimates for the house painting.

Good Morning Everyone!
I wasn't home long enough to turn on the computer this past weekend.
You Were Born An Original... Don't Die A Copy
Today, I need sleep, so I will probably go home after work and nap (DS got in late both Friday and Saturday nights, and disturbed me). I need to be rested before my next conference starts tomorrow morning. It just takes a lot out of me to do that on top of my other duties. So my goal for today is just to be as healthy-minded as I can, and make wiser food choices (going out to lunch at Smokey Bones, so that will be difficult), and just take care of myself, reminding myself that I really do deserve it.
You have all been so ambitious, I am amazed reading about Phyllis and her climb and everybody else's goals.

Some munchkins must have come in over the weekend or at the crack of daylight today and worked on my computer to make it less balky. So, to the IT staff, a big thanks!
Never got to my workout yesterday - house cleaning proved to be quite strenuous (when I move the sofa to vacuum all the way under it and I wash the windowsills and baseboards, it's a big deal), so I decided the tread and the weights could wait another day. My workout tonight will be a typical Monday night workout - all guns blazing, all equipment used, and me dragging myself up the stairs from the dungeon and heading to the shower dazed, sweaty and happy about it. In the spirit of kicking things up, I'm going to up the weight levels on the machine for LB, UB, and ab crunches; I still can't use 10-lb dumbbells consistently with this dumb thumb for my UB work. So that's MY plan; let's see what the Lord has in store for me.
Back to the real world. Later, ladies!

Great way to start the week, Patty. This IS an awesome group of women!
I went to headquarters today to try to finish work that was cut short by Charley on Friday. The regional director wasn't there, and after talking to him on his cell, found out he wouldn't be in until around noon. I'd already wasted an hour-and-a-half, so I left.

Afternoon everyone....215pm here :o).
I only did one class this am since I had to catch up with my errands and to-do's from being gone last week.
