Only 6:30 and I've already started on a box of tissues.I have been watching alot of the news on the impact of the storm that hit Florida.Today I was watching an interview of an elderly lady who stayed in her home during the storm. She was in the area that was hardest hit.In the middle of the interview a younger woman came running across the yard filed with debris, crying and laughing. It was the womans daughter. She had been on the phone with her mother hours earlier before the storm hit and had lost the connection. The daughter lived in VA and hadn't been able to get thru to her mom again. She got on a plane flew to Florida, rented a car and drove to her mothers home. When she got there she saw the devastation and didn't know if her mom was ok.She comes across the yard laughing and crying and saying"you're alive, you're alive".Wow, so many thoughts went thru my mind as I watched that. One, how wonderful it is to be loved by family and friends. Two, how many days do I get up and take for granted that I am alive. And finally, what incredible things we can accomplish when love is involved.
Some days when I'm having a really good run I am filled with such joy to be lucky and healthy enough to be doing that. And on days when I go further or faster(both being relative) than I ever imagined I could I realize it's because I really love what I'm doing.
Are you working out today?Planning new menus?Looking for ways to improve your level of fitness? However you are spending today I hope it is filled with love and the joy of living.Take care.

Good morning.
"Make Choices that bring you joy" cl-Patty
Loved your post this morning, Patty. Thanks :)
Taking a break from a workout today. Have been pushing it for a week (and loving it) and, although I'm feeling great and ready to go, I really just need to get into the office. Leaving for the Outer Banks Friday morning and I just have so much to do at the office and here at home. So, getting on top of that today and will feel relieved to get a handle on it.
Have a great day, ladies.
Sassy.
Today is beautiful, our weather is crisp and clear. Not hot, muggy and wet like yesterday. This weddding is right around the corner and we hit some stumbling blocks yesterday. Sharon went to try on her dress and all is good. Thank God for that. The bridesmaids dresses............well! They are the wrong color. We told the girl we wanted the color we tried on in the store. She told us it was called Royple. Sharon discussed this with her at great length that day. She said are you sure its not caller Riviera Blue? The young lady said, no. They ordered Royple and guess what color it is? PURPLE!!!!!!!! Oh my God! The girl made a huge mistake. We are waiting to find out today if they get get the correct color. The wedding is in 6 weeks and these dresses took 10 to come in the first time. Katie and my neice went and picked out dresses on Saturday. Matching ivory dresses. Well yesterday I had Katie try the dress back on to show MIL and the dress is not tight around her chest. It does not make sense, could she have gained a few pounds or be retaining water since Saturday? Now I have a friend trying to let out some material in the bodice, since the dresses we bought were final sales and they did not have a size 10. We ran back there yesterday afternoon around 5. What a mess! Did not even tell Sharon about that trouble, that would have put her over the edge.
Well time for me to get ready for work. Just trying to eat healthy and smart. I have given up on diets and exercise. I have no will power or staying power. I have given up on this fustrating game. If I lived alone it would be easier but to many road blocks here. Hope you all have a great day!

Going to do Body Sculpt here shortly. I gotta work off that Sonic burger I had last night - Allison's school was having a fundraiser there, where 15% of all sales get donated to the school. Then go get my hair trimmed. I'm not even sure it needs it because she cut it a little short last time. Maybe start on the painting contractors today (that was on my list yesterday). Tonight Cus and I are going to the parents' orientation at Al's school, and Al will have some playtime with a homeschooled friend. That's it, really.
Nancy, hugs to you again, and praying for safety during your son's travels.
Deb, hope they can get the bridesmaid's dress boondoggle fixed!

Thinking of your son in his travels over the next few weeks and good luck and success with his internship! And of course thinking of you during this time!
Hugs,
Susan
Patty, what an amazing moment to see on tv. Thanks for sharing it and reminding us how blessed we are to have the basics and know our loved ones are safe. All it takes is geography and a turn of the wind to change our circumstances.
Nancy - hoping your son has safe journeys as he makes his way to his new home and the combining continues safely and successfully.
Susan, Deb, Grace and I are sharing the beautiful weather today. A nice day to enjoy before the rest of the week and rain and muggies take over again. I'll be enjoying it at noon for a few minutes.
Workout tonight - cardio and abs, since I forgot about them last night and was reminded of them in profile this morning. Can I get a blushing emoticon here?? Boy, they react slowly - I feel like I've been working them hard for a while; time for something new there, too.
15 minute task - organize receipts, pay the bills, foul up the checkbook for DH to fix, remember to put stamps on the envelopes this time!
Meal planning? That doesn't really happen here consistently; more like day to day. My plan this morning was to take salmon fillet out of the freezer and put it in the fridge to thaw a bit before we get home. Since we woke up an hour late and raced around this morning, I forgot to take out the salmon. We might still have it, through the miracle of microwaves; otherwise, leftovers night comes early this week.
Have a great day, ladies!

What a neat post Patty---always so eloquent.
Oh, no, Deb! That is awful about the attendants' dresses. Sometimes you just have to insist to speak to a manager and make sure things are right. I do hope it gets worked out before the wedding and the bride can be happy on her day. I don't get why the manufacturers have to make up names for the colors so you get totally confused on what color you want. Good thing DD is having a black and white wedding...can't make too many mistakes with that.
It doesn't make sense about Katie's dress either. I know kids can grow overnight, but that is rediculous! I am sure it will work out if you can take the bodice out. Less the bride

LOL about the check book and making sure you put stamps on the paid bills, Donna. I got a chuckle out of that. We are human after all.
Isn't it beautiful today, Donna? I really appreciate days like this after all the rain and humidity. It makes you wonder how there can be any more rain to come down after the
