Not many up online yet - we haven't had time to pick and rotate and put them up... But I did manage to get a few up on a website...

Yes, that's me in the red wedding dress with a saffron veil. (Old roman custom...)

I have to say I found the *GREATEST* shoes though - aerosole makes a red patent sandal with high heel, straps around the ankle and a semi-covered back and open toe, that is comfortable and stable to walk in - even on a grassy hill. They're great shoes. Here - I found a photo on the web: http://store.aerosoles.com/escalate/store/DetailPage?pls=aerosoles&bc=aerosoles&clist=0139803220b7:0139803220bb&pc=VALLEY+GIRL&ret=Dress+All

Let me guess... red is your favorite color?! LOL! The one of you and Alex dancing is sweet - you got yourself a keeper. Thanks for sharing the pics so far.

Re: the shoes, that's my kind of style! Probably the only "accessory" where I want to be dramatic. That's why I've hung on to a few pairs that are 10 and 15 years old. Just haven't been thrilled with recent shoe fashion trends. Elegance is coming back, but gradually. Now if they'd just realize most of us don't want shoes that stick out an additional 3" from the tips of our toes....

Love the dress and love the shoes! I'm a red fan, too. The fact that the shoes are Aerosoles is going to send me to a store in search of them. I love stylish shoes, but if they're not comfortable, I'm not buying.

You and Alex look very happy. Congratulations again!

Actually, we held the wedding in Minneapolis in a Park near a lake. It was very non-traditional. I figured, we're both second marriages, and we can do it however the heck we want this time... (He had a traditional catholic marriage the first time, I had a bare-bones, just us, the officiant and the two roommates for my first one.)

We had a barbecue afterwards - in the same park - grilled steaks, brats, and walleye, and grilled sweetcorn. And a chocolate/chocolate icecream cake. And a band that played celtic rock (folk music, irish ballads, and hippie rock music). It was great. We all had a blast.

And Alex is incredibly sweet. and charming. and brilliant. and, um, oh sorry... I'm babbling about him again... ;-) Must be that newlywed glow...

Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures! I like that you decided to do it just the way you wanted and to be so unique. You both look great.

Love the shoes. They remind me of the 1940's, and I've always loved the clothes and shoes from back then. The few pairs of Aerosoles I've had have always been very comfortable, and they've gotten a lot more stylish in recent years.
