Donna, Grace, Lori, Anna.... I had my own headache-y bout earlier in the week (a day on, a day off, and then it hit again not as bad).

I read about hormone headaches again and some of the food that triggers it, including chocolate. Then in another spot I read about the flavanoids in chocolate and why we should include chocolate in our diet. Can't stand up for fallin' down, can we? Bring on the M&Ms!

Doing better today, thanks! Going with that M&M thing - how about candy-coated chocolate Tylenol / Advil / Aleve???? As long as you lock it up away from the kids, where's the harm?

Thanks Linda...feeling a little better today...I think it is on the way out. Sinuses are draining. Sorry to hear you had a couple of bouts with headaches too. I always thought summer was a healthy time, but doesn't seem to be this year.

Oh...no way am I going to give up chocolate and especially M&M's.

When in Costco last, I noticed a big bottle of gummy bear vitamins. My first (and probably wrong reaction)was that it was an awful idea. They look exactly like the gummy bear candy. I have read over and over that you should never refer to vitamins or medicine as candy and then they make these candy looking vitamins. Seems like a mixed message to me and a dangerous one.

So...if they can make candy looking vitamins, they should be able to make chocolate covered medicine for us. Hey, they already make viactive.

I'm recovering from the meds they gave me for the UTI. The meds were worse, in some ways, than the infection! They made me headachy, lethargic, and nauseated. Ugh.

I went to the herbalist and she gave me an herbal blend that's doing wonders without giving me the horrible side effects. That's one of the things I love about Italy - pharmacists can recommend drugs, and herbalists are side by side with the pharmacists in every neighborhood.

On the candy-coated tylenol - people take tylenol too much and without thought already. They can really mess up your liver if you overdose and I can see folks ODing if they were chocolate-covered, thinking they're harmless... Icky. Besides - they'd probably use some *awful* wax-y chocolate...

Let's not make any excuses - if we want to eat chocolate - let's eat the good stuff on purpose!
