Monday Check In

A little earlier than usual, but in the last week I've not been able to get on in the afternoon (just other things going on).

How's your day going? Did you get a workout in? Did you manage to use your Filter? Did you unwittingly brighten someone's day, and did someone brighten yours?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I waited a little longer than I'd anticipated to run, but got underway at about 11am. Cloud coverage kept the temps around 78-80o so even though my run was longer than Friday's, it wasn't as grueling. Maybe I was just up to it today. 4.66 miles, 47+ minutes, no walking though I was pretty sluggish going up Big Hill. I still want to get some abs work in (bad Mama made brownies this weekend!), but that can wait until later. Going to have leftover Lite smoked sausage for lunch with potato salad.

Day brightener was hearing from my hairstylist who I regard as a friend. I'd called her Thursday when her son went off to Kindergarten, and she returned my call today. It was a day brightener for both of us!

Finished my workout about 20 minutes ago. It was another really kickin' good one. I'd like to get two more in that are this good this week, and do just cardio the other two. I'm such a good planner , just lacking in follow-through sometimes.

Two people live in this house, and three tvs are bleating away and I'm not watching any of them. Something wrong here!

DH wanted just soup for dinner, so he had some while I was sweating in the dungeon. I like his thinking. Going to see if there's any left.

Have a great sleep!

HI Ya'al!!! :)

I had a busy but good weekend. We helped do some minor electric work for a friend on Saturday and finished it up on Sunday. Sunday went for a motorcycle ride to the Wichita Mountains. We road up Mt. Scott which over-looks Lake Latonca, it was really beautiful. While we were at the top of the mountain we walked around on the huge rocks for a little while. I didn't get much exercise in over the weekend but it was a nice relaxing weekend.

Today, during my am break at work I went for a 15 minute walk, at lunch I did a 15 minutes worth of stretching and some dumbell weights, tonight DH & I went for a 30 minute bicycle ride. I'm sitting here thinking about doing some of the cardio workout on my "Getting Fit after 40" video. Have any of you seen it? It's a really good work-out and thanks to all of you I've decided to start doing it again.

Just for the record I'm still not smoking. I think the voice problem was a combination of allergies & a thing the doc called "Silent Reflux Syndrome" (some kind of acid reflux that affects your vocal cords). I started taking Prylocet OTC and it seems to be helping. I still take a decongestiant (can't spell) but not every day like I was.

Hope everyone has a great night and a wonderful Tuesday.

Sounds like my house (because of the Olympics!). I haven't watched this much TV in over a year, but Olympics always thrill me. DS is crying over the Rangers baseball game on the big one & I've got the one by the computer going with the precious little Chinese girl doing her floor routine.

I can't wait until it's soup season in TX! I love soups!

Just got home from Disneys Great Adventure and Disneyland. Long day, my feet are beat and my legs are sore. Had a nice time. Spent more time in the first place and missed so much in Disneyland. Next time we will plan 2 days in Disneyland. More to see here in CA then in FL. We left the park at 10:30, MIL and SIL are sitting in the kitchen yacking, just needed to break away for a little while. Miss hubby and my boys. Miss my house too and my way of doing things...........can you tell I am set in my ways? Will catch up on my board reading on Wednesday, inbetween my laundry and what ever awaits me at home.
