I think you have very inspirational thoughts this a.m., Nancy! Thanks for those and I will try to be a light today. Have a great time on your trip! I love to visit new places. Looking forward to Nancy's Travel Diary.

Today, I woke up early and did over 100 crunches and other abs work and a 3 mile run. Amazing how energetic that has made me feel. My next challenge in life is to see how if I can squeeze in 2 jobs, 3 visits per week to ds' physical therapy at 7 a.m., regular workouts and of course my devotionals into my week. Little bits of activity spread around the day just might have to suffice. Better than nothing.

Have an uplifting day, all of you fit females.

Sounds like some pretty profound thoughts to me!

Hope you have an awesome time in the NW. (I missed it - whereabouts are you headed?)

I'm working on catching up from being down from the meds all week. I managed to clean up the kitchen, put away laundry (finally) and get some work done. I think it's naptime for me... After which, I think I'll hook up the new VCR. I'm hoping to actually get a light workout today!

Going to do my abs work that I didn't do yesterday! Then off to water aerobics, come back and do some weight work. I didn't do any this weekend, and did weights only once last week. So I'm anticipating some good hours this day. Gotta lay off those brownies and get back to a decent breakfast. My tummy is pouffy again.

I try to remember about impressions I make upon people, but in a frustrating situation that's difficult. Still, it's the situation which has gotten me uptight, not the people. Can you tell I have a hard time with that? There are some things I handled poorly but can't apologize for because it was a chance encounter. How I wish I knew then what I know now.... I hope people would remember me as being a good listener and someone who's there with encouragement, to which I'd want to be sure they know it's for God's glory not my own.

Enjoy your trip Nancy!

Good morning, all!

Nancy, I think my weather whining has paid off - we have a week of perfect late-summer days ahead. Not exactly a farmer's dream - no rain until late in the weekend - but it's great for a city girl to be outdoors in this. My totebag is so much lighter without that dumb umbrella in there!

Hope you have a safe trip to the Northwest and a happy visit with your son!

Kat - Danny sounds like he's is tough shape. Has his PT given you any indication how much treatment he's going to need before there's any improvement? And it sounds like you're going to be doing quadruple time to keep up. Take your vitamins and find some time to rest up.

Today is more hurry-up-and-wait while the big review is on, with a little manageable chaos thrown in. I'm going to do my best to make a good impression today (although my snarky reputation no doubt precedes me) and remember to use my filter and smile when I tell people I can help you today, but no, I can't help you on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as my time is already committed. Somehow I doubt the smile will blunt the "no", but that's their problem. I will politely decline to make their bad planning my burden.

Workout tonight is 30 min cardio and some ab work. I'm going to try to do abs every night this week. 150-200 weighted crunches. Again, I'm a really good planner; my test is the follow-through.

Going to try to cook something healthy tonight - might be overtime over the next few nights, so I need to have good stuff left over for DH to grab for dinner if the nights get late.

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Interesting thoughts to ponder Nancy! So my plan for today is to try and make a good lasting impression on the nurse by not punching her as she compresses my breasts in the mammo machine. Will that do? Then I'll come home and get a cardio and UB weight session in. This afternoon I'll go see dd. She ended up going back in to hospital last night. Her abdomen started puffing up again, so she needed to get the drain back in ASAP. Hope she's doing better today.

Have a good one ladies.

Have to get this in so I can still say Good Morning! Great post Nancy!Very good thoughts.Yes, chicken land did indeed call me early today.Had to get my work done early so I wouldn't have to help service guy weigh birds when he showed up.But he still ended up wasting most of my morning.Do cabana boys talk? Cause if they do I don't think I want them on my island. The service guy really pushed some buttons today and then someone else came along and hit the few he missed.Sheesh!!!

No workout yet but hopefully before the day is done.Last night I got a great UB workout in.

BNL, I miss you. Thinking of you.

Nancy, I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Grace, will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Kat, so sorry to hear of all you have going on.

I know as soon as I hit post I will think of someone and something else I wanted to add.Sorry if I'm leaving anyone out.Hope everyone has a great day.

Miss P

I can't imagine you having a "snarky reputation." You seem like the voice of reason to me. It's taken me a long time to learn that someone else's poor planning is not necessarily my crisis.

I'm sure you'll have a great review!

Happy to hear you sounding so upbeat today and that you were able to go to Jazzercise.

I know about those darn dust bunnies (woolly mammoths!) with 2 dogs and 3 indoor cats. We have all hard floors, so they can't hide or even slow down their travels with no carpet to cling to. It's a constant battle. And, isn't bathing dogs just so much fun?? At least mine are little, so I still win the wrestling matches. Actually, they like their baths. It's the hairdrier they can't stand. Good luck!
