Good Afternoon Everyone!
Nancy...your morning post was very good.
Good afternoon! I feel as though I have a kindergartner again. Remember what it was like when your child(ren) or other small relatives started fulltime daycare or kindergarten, and they picked up every germ that came within a block of them, then you caught it? Well, that seems to be what's happening to me this summer. Rob has picked up a cold from some friends, and as of yesterday evening my throat started draining and today it is sore. That's how the last ordeal started. He's coughing a lot even on cough med. and Vit. C. Sure hope I don't follow the same route as last time.
We've had a little rain this afternoon after having a pretty morning. Nothing exciting going on around here. A little housework, too much time on the computer, etc. The yard could stand to be mowed, but I'm holding off until I see how this cold thing does.
Good thoughts this morning, Nancy. Have a wonderful trip to the NW!
Hope everyone is having a good day.

On the positive side I was so wound up I really needed a run.I couldn't get to it til about 1pm and thought it would be too hot then. But it actually turned out to be a nice almost fall like day , warm but not hot and sticky.I ended up running 5 miles and deciding not to shoot the next company guy that hits my farm. But I swear the next one that says something so completely stupid to me is leaving with fewer body parts than he came in with!!!!
LOL I know, I know!! I read Nancy's post a few times today and told myself I would not want my last day on earth to be like this.I'll do better tomorrow, I promise......

Rest of the day was great for me as far as eating & I even got that 3 mile run & lots of crunches in this a.m. Shopping trips took up my time tonight. I was at Drug Emporium buying some new reading glasses & other girlie stuff while listening to the piped in soundtrack to "Titanic" - didn't like the movie that much, but liked the music. So impulse buyer that I am, I went to buy it at Hastings - they had used ones for $.53! I'm going to have to get back over there for some more CD's!
Had a pretty good day today. I don't remember smiling at everyone I passed, but there were no controversies, either. At least none that involved me, so it was day in my plus column.
Patty, you're running a business? I had no idea; I thought you just liked hanging around 120K chickens at a time because they're such good conversationalists. Sheesh! The things these guys think they can say to you! I'd be dropping my jaw in amazement so often, I'd be constantly falling over my chin. Come to think of it, I do that a few times a day already. Engineers and service guys. Could there be a connection?
Did anyone happen to catch General Tommy Franks on the Laura Ingraham show tonight (at least it's on between 7 and 10 pm in these parts)? That's one impressive man!
Pleasant dreams, everyone!

It was an average day as far as outlook goes. I did a little Bible study in the car while waiting to pick up Allison at school. I use that time for reading, and that was perfect.
