Good afternoon! I feel as though I have a kindergartner again. Remember what it was like when your child(ren) or other small relatives started fulltime daycare or kindergarten, and they picked up every germ that came within a block of them, then you caught it? Well, that seems to be what's happening to me this summer. Rob has picked up a cold from some friends, and as of yesterday evening my throat started draining and today it is sore. That's how the last ordeal started. He's coughing a lot even on cough med. and Vit. C. Sure hope I don't follow the same route as last time.

We've had a little rain this afternoon after having a pretty morning. Nothing exciting going on around here. A little housework, too much time on the computer, etc. The yard could stand to be mowed, but I'm holding off until I see how this cold thing does.

Good thoughts this morning, Nancy. Have a wonderful trip to the NW!

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Rhonda

I want a do over on Tuesday!I want to do over the fun parts and lose the lousy parts.I know it's hard to believe from the service guy stories I tell but the head guy says everyone should be so easy to get along with. I swear he really does!!!Service guy comes out today and wants to "try out" a new ventillation system in one of my houses this winter. It's the one he used in the company he used to work with.I said" and that would be the company that went out of business???"I need to talk with some company guys to see what's up because he's saying they actually hired him to implement this program in this area. But I haven't heard anything like this from the company. And a couple weeks ago when he mentioned this plan he said that the guy that trained him(with our company) said he shouldn't even be talking about that program. And THEN he said he understood how I felt because I kind of sounded like a business woman when I talked!!Gee I kind of thought I was running a business!!!!

On the positive side I was so wound up I really needed a run.I couldn't get to it til about 1pm and thought it would be too hot then. But it actually turned out to be a nice almost fall like day , warm but not hot and sticky.I ended up running 5 miles and deciding not to shoot the next company guy that hits my farm. But I swear the next one that says something so completely stupid to me is leaving with fewer body parts than he came in with!!!!

LOL I know, I know!! I read Nancy's post a few times today and told myself I would not want my last day on earth to be like this.I'll do better tomorrow, I promise......

Your latest service guys certainly are in a class amongst themselves, Patty! I think I subconsciously felt your pain when I took ds out to Gonzalo's Mexican restaurant tonight. Those 2 chicken fajitas (complete with a little of the best guacamole I ever sampled) were sure good - wish you had come along, Princess. That meal wasn't on my points plan, but how often does a mom get to go out to dinner with her son? I did manage to bring over half the plate home in a doggy bag.

Rest of the day was great for me as far as eating & I even got that 3 mile run & lots of crunches in this a.m. Shopping trips took up my time tonight. I was at Drug Emporium buying some new reading glasses & other girlie stuff while listening to the piped in soundtrack to "Titanic" - didn't like the movie that much, but liked the music. So impulse buyer that I am, I went to buy it at Hastings - they had used ones for $.53! I'm going to have to get back over there for some more CD's!

Got my 36 min of cardio and 200 weighted crunches in tonight. Instead of cooking and creating leftovers, we dug into the leftovers we already had, reducing the cooked food supply even further. Gotta cook tomorrow night! There may not be time for a workout as a result. We shall see.

Had a pretty good day today. I don't remember smiling at everyone I passed, but there were no controversies, either. At least none that involved me, so it was day in my plus column.

Patty, you're running a business? I had no idea; I thought you just liked hanging around 120K chickens at a time because they're such good conversationalists. Sheesh! The things these guys think they can say to you! I'd be dropping my jaw in amazement so often, I'd be constantly falling over my chin. Come to think of it, I do that a few times a day already. Engineers and service guys. Could there be a connection?

Did anyone happen to catch General Tommy Franks on the Laura Ingraham show tonight (at least it's on between 7 and 10 pm in these parts)? That's one impressive man!

Pleasant dreams, everyone!

Did abs, did water aerobics, came back home and did weights! Lunch was weird: grapefruit, eggs, 2 bites of cottage cheese and two wheat rolls. Dinner, tuna casserole, peas, and we finished off those brownies. Didn't accomplish much else, though I started laundry and began captioning my 2003 photo album.

It was an average day as far as outlook goes. I did a little Bible study in the car while waiting to pick up Allison at school. I use that time for reading, and that was perfect.
