Wonderful! I'm so pleased to hear that your son is doing better and that you were able to keep it all together during such a stressful time! You should be proud of yourself.

Mary,

So sorry to hear that your son is in the hospital but glad to see that he is doing so much better. Good for you for hanging in there and sticking with your plan!

More power to the power of prayer and a very kind and supportive coworker!

Glad to hear your son's improving. Hope he's released soon...

Glad he's doing better; I didn't get on yesterday afternoon and read about his hospitalization this morning. Hey, in this short life we were never promised it would be easy because we're all fallible and we've made the world imperfect. That's why we work hard, struggle, and have setbacks. There are a lot of people who think that believing in God guarantees them a life of pleasure and plenty - but there are no such guarantees anywhere. God hopes you will turn to Him in faith during difficult times, but you have to make that choice.

When you said that everything you'd talked about the last few weeks "tastes like ashes" and that you're "barely holding onto my weight loss program", it made me do a double take. How so? 3 pounds July 23rd; 5.4 pounds July 29th; your ex helping you out on the car and made arrangements for your son during that time; .2 pounds Aug 11th after a horrible week; an online friend sending you pictures of Frankie; 6.8 pounds on Aug 19th; coworkers offering encouragement... Gosh, I'm seeing a lot of blessings in your life in the midst of difficulties and a lot of success in your goals! These are just the ones I know of because you've shared them. Slow down when stress hits, Mary - take a deep breath, and refocus on your many blessings. You can keep going forward even if life is serving up lemons.

Hugs!

Yes, here's a cyber Hug for you! Hugs are some of the best medicine a person can receive. I'm so glad your ds is on the mend - will keep him in my prayers.

Good going on staying OP as they say at the WW board! You are doing great with your healthy eating & keep it up!

Great news! :) I'm so glad he's on the mend and that you didn't blow your personal weight loss program. I will continue to keep you and Frank in my prayers.

You should be so proud of yourself for passing up KFC. Will power is hard but feels so good when you succeed.
