Good morning everyone.I tried to come back to the board yesterday and had some computer problems.Could read some posts but couldn't post myself. For awhile it was interesting, kind of like being a lurker in the background. But like most things in life I think it's more fun to jump in and participate.Be a part of the group not a part from it.On my tae bo tape they talk about just trying the moves, not holding back because you're afraind you'll mess up and look silly. That's usually at the point I am messing up and need to hear that!

So did you wake up thinking of all the things you're grateful for?Hope since last week's thankful thursday things have gone well and you've been blessed with things to stop and be thankful for.I can guarentee you're each on someone's list of things to be thankful for.

Are you working out? Taking it easy? What's up today?Whatever you have planned for today I hope it is a super duper day!Enjoy!!!!

I did wake up thinking about it being thankful Thursday, so I'm glad you posted that. I'm thankful you're able to get back online and not be just a lurker. ;-)

The first thing that came to mind for thankfuls this morning is the love and support of my family, thinking mainly of my sisters today, although they're all wonderful. There's nothing like it to get you through when you need a little extra oomph to keep you going.

I'm thankful that since Erin and her significant other have decided to change jobs they've both gotten wonderful opportunities that they're extremely excited about. She starts 9/13, and I think he starts in 2 weeks. He'll miss the animals at Sea World, but has a lot more opportunity using his real estate background. She'll be doing marketing and PR for a very large construction firm. I had Rob email her that I said congratulations to both of them, and she told him to tell me thank-you (Hey, it's a start). I've had about 4 dreams over the last month or so that she and I were talking normally either over the phone or in person. Hope that's a good omen.

Thankful that two extremely knowledgeable people from Washington State will be here to do a presentation about Nikken. I've seen them before and felt really fired up after hearing how it's changed their lives. Maybe the timing is right for this. A good friend and I will be going from noon to 2 today.

I'd like to get a walk in this afternoon too, but know I also need to do more to undo the damage of being so sedentary recently.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday and has lots to be thankful for!

Good Morning,

The weather is just beautiful once again here on LI. I hope to get out again after dinner for a walk. It's really hard being in an office all day and not enjoying the beautiful weather so I've really been enjoying a walk after dinner. The temperatures have been just right and it's that time of year when the nighttime sky has been coming earlier and I want to be outside as Old Man Winter will be here before you know it and it will just be to dark for long after dinner walks. I enjoyed my yoga class a lot last night and hope that I'll be able to stretch the wallet a bit to incorporate a once a week class.

Thankfuls:

A very special email from a very special person who at the same time brought tears to my eys as well as lifted my spirits. Thankful that friend is a part of my life.

Thankful for a good night's sleep.

Thankful for the beautiful summer weather we're having.

Thankful that after tomorrow I will be on vacation.

Well, better finish getting ready for work. Hope your day is filled with good things!

Lori,

Thoughts and prayers go out to your Mom and to you too! It must be really difficult for both of you not to be closer each other during such a difficult time. Big hugs coming to both of you!

Thankful for Allison's school and teachers, thankful for a cozy home and the provision and love of my husband, thankful for the ability to run, thankful for unusually cool weather for August (mid-80s), thankful for a relationship with God.

Water aerobics in 30 minutes, and I won't be doing weights today - still feeling it from Tuesday - though I'll throw in some abs work. Also need to iron, water the lawn, vacuum... and I'll be joining Allison for lunch. One of the lunch choices is a chef salad with all the trimmings, so it's perfect for me at $1.75!

Rhonda, whispering a prayer that Erin will soften her hardened heart, even if it takes a while.

Thankful~

1. I got a check from the H, so can breathe a little easier until my next power bill comes. He told me that he will start sending me some money every month...

2. My abs hurt - I worked out with the group from the office yesterday, and they chose to do a 30 minutes pilates for abs tape. *groan* I'm out of shape. I did bring my clothes again today, and will work out with them again - I think we are walking outside for 30-45 minutes on one of the cart paths near the office.

3. I had a long serious talk with DS last night re the GF, the mess he is living in (in my sunroom - converted to sonroom *bad pun here*) and his whole situation. He seems to be trying, but I don't want him to get too far off course before reeling him back in. Considering how far off he was to start with, I have to remember how long it takes to make progress.

4. I am maxed out on comp time now - which means three free days off work (if I could only find the time to take them). The flip side is that the workload is not lessening, so now I am putting in the ot gratis until I can talk to the boss about paid overtime. But I'm just taking off in the middle of the day after or before lunch to "run errands" and burn the time a bit. It is nice to get out for some true free time.
