And yes, Dr Phyl, I'm feeling rested, relaxed and roundly reflective.

We had great weather, great surf, great tanning time and lots of major quality family time (just the five of us). We ate well, but not overly. Had a couple Coronas and a few too many Forbes chocolate encased pecan caramel clusters (oh my), but really ate well and walked a lot. I think the kids and DH had a blast, too. We had never stayed in this particular house before and it was awesome. I'm very nicely (unhealthily) tanned. If what they say is true about tanning...(early burning and tanning is the worst) than I'm beyond help anyway so I figure why not? I tan nicely even though I kept myself slathered in 30 SPF. It's good to be home, though. However, DH is really grumbly about being back. I hope he was able to relax. He's back at the office Monday. My boss is gone all next week so party on for me :) I'm going to EASE into the week with a 2:30 meeting Monday afternoon.

Our home computer has crashed and was hauled away by a computer geek friend of ours for resurrection or burial...yet to hear from him. I grabbed my office lap top and brought it home to check e-mail (180 of them).

Glad to be back.

Sassy

Sounds like a great time, Sassy! MMMmmmmmm, did you save any Forbes clusters for us?! Yeah, I hear the news on tanning and such, but I also still like a glow to the skin. No longer the sun worshipper I once was, and I'm still tanning under SPF 30 as well. Worrying about the effects of sun exposure has probably only come around in the last few "enlightened" decades.

Glad it was relaxing for you, fun for the kids, and hopefully fun for DH too.

Welcome home. The Outer Banks are really nice, I have seen some great pictures. I have a friend who rents a huge house every year in August/Sept and raves over the area. I think we need to give it a try at some point in time. How long have you been doing this kind of vacation? What do you all do while there? Curious minds want to know! Enjoy the rest of this weekend and good luck with back to work on Monday!

Hey Deb.

I've been going to the Outer Banks since I was a kid. We always spent a week and later, two weeks there each summer. DH always went to Myrtle Beach in SC and moaned a bit about having to go to the Outer Banks. So one year we went to Myrtle. We've never gone back to Myrtle!

Here's a link to the house rental place we always use, although there are several others including Southern Shores Realty and Sun Realty which are both big house rental agencies there and you can find them on the web. We use Kitty Hawk Realty. www.beachrealtync.com. We love it down there. Surf the web and check it out!

Scandalous? You mean that story about the couple who were arrested for doing the naughty on the beach? Just because they are in their 40's, have 3 children and live in Virginia doesn't mean it was us....

Or was it the couple who didn't realize that there was a huge crack in the outdoor shower and everyone going by could see what they were doing in there....

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Glad to be back...or is that glad to be out.....

LOL, very funny. Now if those people you described were indeed doing what you said aren't they too old for that kind of behavior?

Welcome back, Sassy (belatedly)! We always miss you when you're gone. Sounds as though you had a terrific time. Now I really understand why Russell has a bad back!! ;-) Go easy on the man, you Wild Thing!
