I love the thought of us posting some goals again.I miss that and some of the challenges too.I'm still working on mine but will post something below as soon as I get it together.I'm thinking how great it will be to run in the cooler air though I have enjoyed the summer heat.I've enjoyed this summer so much and feel alittle sad about seeing it end so I'm trying to focus on the positive things ahead.

Now that you bring up challenges...I think it's high time that we have one again.

Setting ANY kind of fitness goal and doing it would be a major improvement for me!! I have a fairly significant birthday coming up, not to mention our big weekend in Asheville, and it makes me angry with myself that I have let myself go so much! I'm trying to get Rob and Tim to put the weight bench back together.

Rhonda, you WALK & GARDEN alot! So you can't say you don't work out regularly - lately, I'm sure I'm the one who is irregular around here. I have a significant upcoming b-day too & I need to turn the health around (especially the workouts).

Getting ready to go for a walk/run & do some weights/abs. I'm going to do it all today!

I'm all outfitted for my debut as a pink hatter at the tea party next month. Got the cutest pink hat (wool) at a bargain at one of our local dress shops. They have a whole section of red hat society wear, but only a few pink hats. I also bought a cute pink cardigan with a poodle on it at TJ Maxx (my Queen told me I could wear pink instead of lavender - which is difficult to find right now). I'll be wearing my hat & cardigan to work & Church, so can't say it's only for special occasions. I can't wait to go to the tea party! Will be such fun!

Will report in later tonight.

I love the idea. Sounds like challenaging, but I enjoy anything that's a challenage.

I haven't thought too much about goals, except that I want to be at my target weight by Christmas and keep it off so next summer when we go water skiing I look as good as the DD's.

I think I need to change my always the same goal....fitness, never ever a problem--eating, big problem.

At least you are mostly muscle, Deb, and you maintain your weight consistently, which is a major coup since you travel so much. It is difficult to eat to lose (if that's what we want to do) when routines change constantly (like traveling as you do frequently), when one sets up meetings frequently, or when one loves to cook. My problem is that I DON'T get enough exercise in to negate the food, so I'm going to have to adjust accordingly. If I count my points, I do well. If I don't, I don't do well. I've tried the low carb stuff, and I just get rebellious. I want to eat whatever I want, just within reason, with leaner versions, and less portions. I think it is finally registering with me that I am not a 20 something year old anymore, so I can't eat like I'm one, LOL!!! Also, I'm trying to put into practice what Bob Greene wrote in one of his books that people should feel the feeling of hunger during the day (in other words, one shouldn't always have that full, satisfied feeling. When I'm overweight, I usually never let myself feel the hunger pangs - guess I just make sure I eat enough all day to never feel hunger - which is bad).

However, I need to really get the exercise in more regularly or my poor body will just turn to blubber and I will start aging significantly. I'll have to really plan out my days now that ds has PT, too! Why can't there be more than 24 hours in a day?

Each week will be different with me because of my full schedule, but I'd like to put 4 days of workouts in each week. That's my goal for fitness.
