Good morning everyone! The last monday in August! The summer has flown by.Have you enjoyed?

What's up for everyone today? Is today a workout day or a rest day?Any 15 min, or longer, projects for today?Anyone heard from Grace?Wondering how she is doing.

I found a cute card at Hallmark the other day.It says; Stuff we can learn from a dead battery. In life , there must be both the positive and the negative, or stuff won't work.Hope you're day is filled with just the right amount of each to make stuff work.

Enjoy your day!

Thanks for that very wise message from Hallmark, Princess! Hope you and everyone has a very magnificent Monday!

Have to go, go, go today. Taking ds to first PT today at 7'ish. Then work & work tonight. No time for a workout.

New day, new week - got on those dreaded scales this a.m. Just a pound gone, but at least it's something. I'm really going to concentrate hard on eating this week.

Hugs!

Good Morning,

I really can't believe that the month of August is nearly gone and September is here again. DD will be going back to work shortly and in fact will be starting to set up her classroom this week. The summer has flown by once again!

First official day of vacation week. The weather is kind of yucky this morning but I think DH and I will head out to eastern LI to go to the outlets. It's the only shopping place that DH enjoys-in fact it was his suggestion that we head out that way-the man is in search for a new saucepot-anything to get someone else in the kitchen and me out!

Probably no workout today unless I get an "official" walk in this evening. Workouts have been scarce and food consumption has been up-not a good combination!

Well off to get some breakfast a shower and then away we go somewhere!

Hope your day is a good one with just the right combination!

We had a great time at the theme park yesterday, though it was drizzly most of the day. Allison absolutely loved the water park section, as did I. We got drenched! We wore our bathings suits underneath, but ended up with wet outer clothes because we didn't want to be encumbered by dragging our towels and dry clothes with us - they remained in the car. Next time we know. She's still a little young for some things (the Scooby Doo Ghoster Coaster was a bigger coaster than we expected), but there was plenty of other amusements there for kids her age.

I'm not really in the mood to go running today - I just feel like vegging out from yesterday - but I want to get 2-3 runs in this week before Saturday. If I run, it'll be a 3-miler or so. If I don't run, Body Sculpt with abs.

I feel porked out, so my goal this week is to eat better. I'm already off to a better start on breakfast today. Also time to cut out the beer and G&Ts again!

I did Upperbody weights today. And discovered two things:

1. the area under our loft in the bedroom is perfectly sized for my weightbench and weightset. it only took me 1 1/2 years to figure that out - now the stuph isn't taking up room behind the couch in the living room. YAY!

2. One possible reason I have problems with a "distended" belly (it sticks out below my navel much more than it should for my weight and bodyfat) is that I've been doing "belly breathing" for years. Didn't even realize it until we were talking about asthma on a weightlifting board... So, my goal for September is to work on learning how to breathe using diaphragmatic breathing.

Great inspirational message about dead batteries. I think today might of had a little more negative than positive but yesterday was the opposite so it does all work out in the long run. I worked 12 hrs yesterday and got a lot done, Sundays are extremely quit. Today was a normal 8 hr day but was extremely busy, Mondays are like that and I've noticed that a full moon makes things a little crazier. Over all I can't complain I made a few people smile, which makes life worth it.

Today I "squeezed" into a pair of jeans I haven't worn in about 5 years. It felt good and even though they were tight I could still breath when I sat down. It was a good reminder to keep up the hard work and exercise more.

Well it's time for my evening bicycle ride. I wish I could ride 10 miles like all of you runners, I think that will be my goal for September. I can't even walk that far let alone run it.

Hope everyone had a happy Monday, Smiles & Hugs to all of you :)

Glad to hear that your MIL's surgery went fine and that you had such a good time on your trip.
