The last day of the month! And while it's not officially over I always think of it as the end of summer.Almost time to close up the pool and send the cabana boys home.Hmm, maybe that's why I'm not as excited about fall this year......

So how was your summer?Did you get to relax and enjoy it?Did you set goals back in June and if so how did they go?

What are you up to today? What kind of workout plans do you have?Anyone trying anything new?Anyone found something that helps them stick with their eating plan like journaling, extra water? If so let me know because that is my weakest area.

Hope your month ends up on a positve note and gives you something to look forward to as we begin a new month and a new season.

Have a goo one!!!!

I have to say I've had a wonderful summer.Last year we stayed wet and cool so it never really felt like summer. This year was just right. Also this is the first summer in a long time that I have stuck with exercise and haven't gained weight.Usually I go into fall with a few extra pounds.

My workout today will be a run and some weights. I'm going to try to drink extra water today and clean my diet up some.A couple more days with chickens and then I'm looking at some time off.YAY!!!

Good Morning,

It's another day of rain here. We had rain on and off all day yesterday although most of yesterday during our drive was rain free-but it's definitely raining here this morning! Not sure what's on the agenda for today. We start shopping again for bathroom tile. That's the last major indoor house project and it got left behind with everything else we were doing.

I'm again not sure about workouts. The humidity really zaps any kind of thoughts from my head and just not feeling particularly motivated at the moment. I had another call from the doctor about something not quite right with my latest round of blood tests and have to go in for another round at the end of the week.

Hope your day is a good one!

I usually look at summer as going from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Around here we can still go to the beach in mid-late September, and we probably will. Send the cabana boys this way! I've managed to keep running, increasing average distance and shortening time (just a little on both). Since Allison is now at school, I've even bumped up my running to 3x a week. Measurements still yo-yo within a limited range, relative to my monthly cycle and food indulgences, but overall I'm maintaining. So I'm happy about that. I'm keeping more fruit around to help me stay away from sweets. It works sometimes, LOL!

Today, water aerobics in a few, followed by abs work (since I didn't do that yesterday). I'll try another loaf of bread, being more careful about the time and also not trying to do so much at once. Might do a cabinet organization on one of my kitchen cabinets - or at least scope it - and sit down finally with my dining room remodel ideas. We've got the painter on the calendar for doing the exterior of our house, so that's one project on the move.

Off topic of that, I've updated Li'l Al's Place for some summer shots. Just click on her picture below, and look for Summer '04. Thanks for looking!

Good morning Patti and lovely ladies! As the others said, thanks for the great posts Patti, I do look forward to reading them each morning. It is hard to believe but, yes summer is over. I felt it went fast but then again they always do. My kids start school next Tuesday, and I have mixed emotions about that. Part of me is going yeah and the other part does not look forward to the daily reminders of homework and more running around. Our summer was odd too. We had a nice mix of hot pool days and then a few cooler days, which we enjoyed. Being at work played a different roll this summer. Searching for baby sitters, and no beach days. However, I had two vacations, TN and CA so that was nice. Katie getting hurt was an unpleasant happining, something we will not forget. Plans on the upcoming wedding have taken their tolls too. Got my kitchen cealing fixed and the painter should be here next week to finish that up. We purchased our business building and property and became free from all credit card debt, that is a good feeling.

I sent some of you a few pictures of the shower and the cake I made for her. Hope you enjoyed them. If anyone wants to see, let me know your email. I have only a few addresses, so here is my email address dmm11730@yahoo.com. I will gladly send them your way. The shower went well, Sharon seemed surprised but she knew it was coming. Lets face it the wedding is in 26 days. I went for my fitting yesterday and although the dress is beautiful I did not feel beautiful in it. I actually cried yesterday when I left the shop and came home. I am going to rejoin WW tonight and see if maybe I can drop some pounds in the next 26 days. Listening to how you guys fit so much exercise in on a daily basis truely amazes me. I am off today because we are having 10 of Katie's girl friends over for a 10 1/2 birthday. She never had a 10th party in December, so we decided to do a pool party this summer. Our weather is iffy today and of coarse that is my typical luck. I have my fingers crossed it clears this afternoon as the weatherman promised. I have cupcakes baking now, which missy will decorate when she wakes up. Laundry batch number 2 is in the dryer and I am going to run to the grocery store for soda, and chips. Back home to run the vacume and then hope a cool shower. Kids should be here around 1 and gone around 4. They are not babies any longer and I hope they can entertain themselves.....lol. I will pop back later and see what everyone else is up to. Have a great day!

Great summer shots. It really looks like you have fun as a family. It seems your summer was busy. What beach do you guys go to? Is that a lake or ocean? I miss those days sometimes. My kids are all off doing their own things most of the time. I envy you. Keep the pictures coming, I enjoy seeing Allison grow.

Thanks for sharing,

Deb

Good morning! Thanks for your thought provoking post, Patty.

I spent yesterday on the run a lot, and although I didn't do anything really physical, it seems to
