The last day of the month! And while it's not officially over I always think of it as the end of summer.Almost time to close up the pool and send the cabana boys home.Hmm, maybe that's why I'm not as excited about fall this year......

So how was your summer?Did you get to relax and enjoy it?Did you set goals back in June and if so how did they go?

What are you up to today? What kind of workout plans do you have?Anyone trying anything new?Anyone found something that helps them stick with their eating plan like journaling, extra water? If so let me know because that is my weakest area.

Hope your month ends up on a positve note and gives you something to look forward to as we begin a new month and a new season.

Have a goo one!!!!

I found the local charity (run by the parish) today - so now I can donate stuff (extra linens, food, etc) instead of tossing things out or storing them. DH has WAY too much stuph for this small apartment. I'm really happy that I'll be able to get rid of stuph with a clear conscience.

Workout will be LowerBody weight training in my NEW workout area under the loft in the bedroom YAY!

As for sticking with my eating - I have gotten myself into the habit of writing down anything I'm going to eat BEFORE I eat it. If I'm "out", I can guesstimate nowadays how much of it I'm eating and even may have some idea of how may calories it has. And I try to plan for snacks - so I'm never "starving".

Just some ideas... Have a great day!

I can't believe something else came up with your bloodwork!!!!I think I'd be right over the edge by now.I was thinking about you during my run today. You have been faced with so much in the way of tests and drs.Did you ever imagine this year would hold all of this for you?????But more importantly did you ever imagine you would handle it all so well?I think you've done great and this really will eventually all sort out.Keeping you in my thoughts.

Thanks, Princess, for your lovely post! Looking forward to September - ah, fall is on the way!

I stayed up WAY too late last night reading my new book by Stormie OMartian. Woke up at 7:05 a.m.!!!! Double yikes! Forgot to set the alarm! All is not lost, I have tonight off, so . . . I can treat myself to a run on my favorite nature trail. I will get ds a good meal to go w/lots of veggies with a gift card from Cotton Patch. They have a wonderful blackened catfish dinner he loves.

Wish I could run with all of you other lovelies who run, but will be thinking of you ALL on this board while I run. You are so inspirational to me & just wanted to tell you that I enjoy reading your posts even if I can't make it back to the board to reply to them. I'm trying to not back off from the board because I can't participate as much as I want - Rhonda is such a sweetheart to encourage me to post when I am able. Rhonda, if you read this, thanks, and I really hope you feel better soon. You need to take care of yourself and rest.

Well, better get back to work. I need to keep it together today on the eating - my coworker (who is a sweetie, btw, insists I should take tomorrow off anyway, no matter what) brought in all kinds of Smart Ones goodies for us to eat. She's trying to lose some pounds, too, but nonetheless they are Double Fudge Chocolate cakes!!

Hugs,

Kat

Here I am, ready to hold your hand :) You're doing great,Lori. It sounds like you have a good plan.

Weather!!The other day I talked to a woman who said she didn't think we had even had a summer, it had been wet and cold. The next day my sister was saying it had been a hot dry summer.I , for once, have been very happy with the weather.Which scares me to think of what the winter might hold.

You're right! There's always something for a cabana boy to do!!!

It really bothered me to read that you cried after the fittings.I think you would be surprised to know how many people do look at you and think you are beautiful.Sometimes we just need to see ourselves thru someone else's eyes. You've accomplished so much this year.I have no doubt that when you're ready to lose the weight you will.

Deb, I loved reading in another post how you made friends at the other jazzecise and even got a gift. That's pretty special.I know what you mean by reaching for the ice cream because of worry and stress. If only I just ate when I was hungry!!!

Will be keeping your mom in my thoughts and prayers.
