Anxiously watching the weather reports and keeping you guys in my thoughts and prayers.Which I could do something for you. After going thru Isabell last Sept. I know how awful it is to have to wait and see what the weather will do.Sending you lots of love, stay safe.

Thanks, guys! Since I can't take my computer and TV, I've decided not to go. ;-) Actually, the storm seems to have turned a little more SW, and we may not get the full brunt of it. As huge as it is, we'll still get some major winds and rain, I'm thinking. I hope to be able to

Please keep us posted, even if it's been downgraded it's still a very scary situation.

Hey Rhonda! I've been thinking about you, too. I hope that it doesn't hit too hard. If you feel the need to evacuate, I can fine a place for you in Peachtree City. We are far enough inland that we shouldn't get much from it. Margo

Thanks so much for your good thoughts everyone! I think a lot of prayers may be answered by the storm going a bit farther SW than originally anticipated, but it doesn't look good for central FL. Winds are about 115 MPH, which is down some, but it's also slowed down meaning many areas can expect 10 to 20 inches of rain. That could be devastating. FL is low (Key West is sea level), so there are many areas that are considered flood plains, plus there are lakes, rivers, ponds, etc., everywhere.

When Gaston hit this week Richmond and some surrounding areas got 10-14 inches of rain. They were calling for 1-4 inches.DH does some work in that area and was there today. He said there was alot of damage.Feel so sorry for the whole state of Florida as it sounds like everyone will be affected in some way.Have been watching the weather and news where lots of reporters are in Florida. The beaches look so beautiful there.Would love to be there, in better weather.
