Does anyone still do step aerobics?

Hello~ After my second son was born, almost ten years ago, I began the step workout with Gin Miller. After six months, the results were amazing, since I had dropped three sizes and was firm all over. The last few years, I've been doing a combination of walking, treadmill running and biking, but haven't been close to what I achieved with the step workouts(I did 3-5 times weekly after starting 3 times a week). I want to get back to the step routine and see if it's just my metabolism that changed or if the same results and better diet will make me feel fit and firm again. Just wondering if any of you have used step aerobics as fitness maintenance for the long term, like five years or more. Thanks, J.

You've got me thinking about pulling my step out again.

Hi J.

I LOVE my step and doing step workouts. I usually pull it out in the winter and during bad weather. Only because I love to get outdoors to work out as much as possible. I think step aerobics can be an awesome workout. I've taken step classes, but have mostly done it on my own at home. I get just as good a workout at home.

Good luck and have fun with it.

Sassy

Thanks for the replies. I know if I can conquer getting the sugar out of my diet, it will be easier to get the results and energy level back up. So, if anyone has good suggestions on that, please advise. Right now, I'm about 140-ish(don't own a scale. I go by how my clothes fit). My legs are small and firm, but the weight goes to the midsection of course. I'm 5'3, so every extra pound shows up quickly. Thanks and have a great week, J.
