Good morning everyone. How is everyone today? Are you celebrating the long weekend with anything special today?Working out or just taking it easy?I read a good article the other day on why it's sometimes hard to let go of summer.I've been feeling that way and apparently I'm perfectly normal. At least in that aspect :)Anyone have any special they do to wrap up summer and go into fall? You know like buy a giant pumpkin pie?

Grace, hope your drs appt went well yesterday and that the allergic reaction is fading.Thinking about you.

Rhonda, how are you doing?Watching the weather reports and feeling so sorry for you all in Florida.I can imagine that all this waiting and watching is taking its toll.

Hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing Saturday.

Miss P

Morning ladies, I was sitting here waiting for Patti to start the morning post......lol. Just heading into the shower in a few minutes. Heading out to the east end of Long Island, known as the Hamptons. This week has been the Hampton Classic, a snoty horse show for the rich and famous. MY future BIL works it and he got VIP passes for myself, Katie, and my mom. We will spend a few hours out there with Sharon and David, see some fancy jumping and riding and head home around 3. Tonight its a catch up on mountains of laundry and some healthy eatting. The Core Plan is good if you stick with the "special" food. We ate Chinnese last night and that is not on the plan. But it was around 8:30 and I was to beat. Today packing a baby cooler with some stuff to eat, hope it helps keep me under control.

No workout here today. I'm heading out later for a fun day with my neice and sister. We're helping my neice celebrate her 20th birthday. She cracks me up.She called when she heard about my run last weekend.Said it almost inspired her to get up of the couch and do something.LOL Anyway we're heading to the mall to shop and then off to a late lunch at Chilis.Anyone ever had the ribs there?I keep saying I want to try them but never have, maybe today. We also found out that the flavor of the week at a wonderful ice cream place is chocolate peanut butter. There was a bit of a panic as to how we would fit that with a late lunch and possible desert at Chilis.Fortunately I thought fast and decided we would stop for ice cream first.I'm throwing caution to the wind and stopping at VS.What possible panty problem could arise in a crowded mall???Also on the list of stops is Costco. Is it too early for the pumpkin pie to be out?

There are DEFNITELY power thongs at VS...but it depends on what kind of "power" you're looking for ;)

Have fun with the girls today. I think it says a lot about your organization and planning skills that you were able to work in ice cream, lunch and dessert all in one afternoon. The ribs at Chilis are yummy. So is the awesome blossom.

Hi, Patty and everyone. Patty, have a great time today with your family shopping. The Chili's ribs and ice cream sound good.

Deb, hope you have a fun day at the show. Tell us how you like that new WW plan. That's a great idea about bringing a cooler.

I'm heading out for a 4 mile something - either run, walk or combo. Have to work today until 6. Yesterday's soup and salad were so good, I may want that combo again for lunch today. The best thing about fall foods are soups, IMO, although pies are right on up there, too.

I've been watching the news about the hurricane. I hope it does minimal damage and that no one gets hurt.

Have a great Saturday everyone.

Sounds like a fun day planned. Now, when you get home and start with the power thong (sounds painful to me), please put on some safety goggles. Remember the line from "A Christmas Story?" You'll shoot your eye out...

Thanks, Patty. Running to the store to pick up some things I forgot yesterday or didn't get a chance to get. Also, have to make an exchange. Also, Unfit for Command has come in for me at Barnes and Noble. Can't wait to have that to read during our enforced confinement! The sun is in-and-out here. Watching the weather a lot. Winds will be strong enough to do damage, but we're much more concerned here about the flooding. No beach today, because the surf is bigger, rougher, and more poorly formed. I wouldn't mind checking out the teeth situation though if the tide isn't too high. The storm surge will probably be at least 6' at the ocean. The huge St. Johns River that Jax. is built around also flows north to the city from the ocean.

Love that scheduling, Patty. A woman has to have priorities.

Grace, hope all is going well with your surgical recovery.

Have a fun Saturday!
