School Days, school days................

Well today is the day. First day back to school here. Rob is in the shower, my tea bag is soaking and the dryer is turing. Once he is out I will Bill into the bathroom and then Billy. Katie and I will follow. It should be interesting. I am hoping to fit a walk in, weather permitting and time allowance tomorrow. I need to be here to motivate the troops today........lol. I ironed all the weeks worth of clothing last night, and packed everyones lunches already. After I drive Miss Katie into school around 8:15 I will have 45 minutes to organize my house before reporting to work.

Today is my first WW weigh in. Keeping my fingers crossed. I was pretty good for my first week. Thinking of switching to flex and counting points this week. I guess I will decided based on the results tonight.

So what does everyone else have going today? Is summer over, now that Labor Day has come and gone? Can we wear white pants and white shoes anymore? Or am I the only one that follows my moms "old" rules? Hope you all have a great day planed and start off today on the right foot!

Deb, I was putting on my white tennis shoes yesterday and thinking about that rule.Last year in Oct. my Dad was telling me that I would eventually have to put away my sandals and wear real shoes.Good luck with weigh in tonight and great job with your eating yesterday.

Not sure what's up for today. The rain is heading our way soon.Going to do a tape soon and then see what else I can get into.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good Morning,

Yep, heard my first school buses running this morning and sent oldest off to her classroom. NYC Public Schools actually don't start until next Monday but she has to go for staff development and setting up her classroom. She's a nervous wreck-she's teaching 1st grade for the first time and the school has a new principal!

Going back to work myself after a week off. I'm sure I'll be fine after getting back into the groove-but left so much undone around here. I'm actually hoping going back to work brings back some better eating habits as long as there is no junk in the office. I've been really terrible about exercising and eating plus not sleeping properly is taking it's toll mind, body and spirit.

That's about it for me-hope you all have a great day!

Today, what's left of Hurricane Frances is dumping rain on us. We've had a number of reasons to talk about hurricanes, with Alex, Charley, storm Gaston, and now Frances with Ivan churning in the Atlantic.

So far we've had 2-1/2" with localized street flooding. We were under a tornado warning between 6:30am and 6:45am, meaning possible tornados in the area (as opposed to just a watch), and some were confirmed, several near our area. We had no idea, though we did hear thunder. Right now all is fairly calm, just rainy. It looks like the storm is further east than they originally predicted, heading through GA rather than AL. Storm warnings are in effect until 2pm this afternoon, so we're expecting plenty of "pourdowns" from "Hurgurcang" (rhymes with Burger King) Frances as the day goes on!

Obviously no water aerobics today! Not sure if I'll get a workout in or not. Been working on captions for my 2003 photo album (got 'em all, just sizing them now in preparation for printing), and must start getting consignments ready for the semi-annual big sale here. I volunteer at the sale Thursday which is one of the drop off days, so I need to have my stuff together then.

I should try to make it to the store at some point, as there's a handful of things we need.

Good afternoon everyone...you all seem to have so much going while I am here nursing my foot. You really have done a lot already Deb before you went to your paying job. You actually sound rarin' to go! Good luck with your weigh in today. I am curious to see how the new plan worked for you too.

Patty...no need to put those white tennis shoes away...I don't think the old rules apply any more. We are free spirits...LOL!

Nancy...I keep thinking I want to go back to WW too...I am curious about the new plan...maybe next week. Hope work in town after 2 weeks isn't too tough.

Susan...DD was a nervous wreck today too with the kids starting. She has a new principal too. Good luck to dd! Sorry you are having such a hard time sleeping..it is the pits with having to get up early to work after a bad night's sleep.

Lori...it sure does feel like Monday. Good to know that the "work" week will be shorter.

(Jazzer)Deb...No kiddies here either, but DH and DD are off to work. Nice to have the house to myself. Have some good workouts with your "favorite" instructor.

Off to get something to eat...something healthy that is.

Have a super day all

Good afternoon / evening!

OK, the lull has been officially delayed. Looks like I'm working OT tonight. Don't know who or what project I'm involved in rescuing, but my plans for a good homecooked dinner (broiled wild salmon) and a good weight workout are off the books. Maybe the workout if I get home at a reasonable hour. I could probably do a kickboxing routine and knock the basement walls down, I'm so ticked. I was asked at first to stay around a little later, up to 2 hours and I agreed to an hour-and-a-half; now, it looks indefinite, and I wasn't exactly asked - frankly, I feel like I've been railroaded and by my own supervisor to boot. It's a hurry-up-and-wait routine (what else is new), so I might actually get the job around 7 pm. Not happy -- at all. And I'l stop whining now, since I sound like such a big baby.

I had a great weekend. Unfortunately, the good mood is gone.

Patty - I put my sandals away when my tootsies are in danger of turning blue. Not a minute sooner!

Lori - Camron and the baby bumblebee are precious! That put a smile on my face, even if only for a minute.

Hugs, all!

Donna
