But I stepped on the scale this morning fully expecting to be dealing with no loss.

I lost 5 pounds.

Congrats on the weight loss no matter how it happened. Yes...you can over train and not lose weight. I actually gained weight when I used to teach 12 to 14 classes a week.

Keep up the good work!!

Woo HOO!!

Congratulations Lori!

How do you loose five pounds and not notice it in your clothes?

Congratulations, Lori. As they say, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Be glad for what you have it. Maybe a sign of better things to come. Maybe I will have a few missing pounds tonight.

Great job on losing that 5 pounds, Booty!!!I just read an article that said doing some shorter , faster runs were better for weight loss than doing all long runs.It mentioned that sometimes the longer runs increased your appetite. So maybe any excessive exercise does that.Personally for me the more I worry over what I eat the bigger a problem it becomes.I say I can not have a cookie and eat an apple instead.A couple hours later I still want the cookie and eat more than I probably would have if I would have just had it in the first place. I guess there could be a number of reasons for the weight loss.If it were me and I jumped on the scale and had lost 5 pounds I would just assume it was because of incredible discipline and work on my part.So I think you should go with that thought :)

Congratulations on being a loser in the best sense of the word!

Congratulations, Booty! 5 pounds is awesome & you know, it must be because you are really taking good care of yourself, IMO. Your posts have been so positive lately, so you sound more relaxed. I believe, as Grace posted, we need enough rest and sleep to lose weight. Stress can inhibit weight loss. Great news and keep taking good care of yourself!
