Can you believe its the middle of the week already? Got to love those 3 day weekends! Didn't Bud beer have those frogs saying Wazz Up? If not, forgive me. Its the hour. Only day two of the early morning schedual and I can tell you it stinks.......lol. So how is everyones weather? Are the rains from this hurricane/tropical storm effecting you? Have you preplanned your menue for the week? Do people really do that? How about your daily dose of exercise, have you planned that as well? What is on your calander for this Wednesday?

Good moring, I am glad its the middle of the week. Feeling the effects already of this early hour. How do some of you do this all the time? I need to get myself into bed early. I seem to average around 11 to 11:30 most nights. Forget it if we want cuddle time, lol, then its after midnight. I have not looked at the weather forecast but it is very muggy in the house right now. I believe they are talking about showers for today. Kind of a gloomy day. What made me think of Budwieser Frogs? The woman needs help, lol! I do not even drink beer. I have my tea bags soaking and I am going to make Rob a toasted bagel this morning. After Bill has gotten in the shower I am going to throw my shorts and sneakers and shoot for a walk, heck even if I get 15 to 20 minutes in, its better then nothing. I like Wednesdays on my WW schedual because it starts a new food week for me. Sort of a fresh start. Work was a zoo yesterday, and it will probley shape into another one today. Only today I really want to get out of there by 1:30. I have a house to clean, and bills to pay. Ran around yesterday with Rob and Katie and bought the last minute supplies the teachers requested. I guess over the summer I spent close to $75 on Katie's stuff and yesterday I spent $43 on Rob. He bought his own backpack (he wanted a special one, way out of my budjet), so glad he worked this summer. We purchased this very expensive calculator last year and thank goodness he still has it. Well the sun is staring to come up and my tea should be ready for drinking. I think I might go sit on my back porch and enjoy this rising sun and enjoy meeting a new day. The birds and crickets are singing, despite the dampness. Need to enjoy these sounds while I can. I did not answer my own question about food planning for the week. I really should do that especially with the WW program. Just makes for an easier and healthier week. Kind of like ironing my work clothes for the week. I did that on Monday night and yesterday was easier getting done. I guess the key word would be organize. The more you can do ahead the better. Have a great day everyone.

Hi, Deb and everyone! Not much time to post this a.m. Off in a little bit to ds' PT. I'll do my devotional in the waiting room and car. Only had time this a.m. for an UB weights workout with the Firm. Hoping to get the lower body & some abs done either on my lunch hour or after working Steinmart. Hope I'm not too tired.

Have a great day everyone!

P.S. Great job on the WW, Deb! I think planning one's menus for the day or better yet, the week, really DO help. You go, girlie!!!

Good Morning,

Hey Deb are you sure we're living on the same LI? Weather must be real different on that end of LI! You're seeing sun and sitting on the porch and all I've been seeing is pouring buckets of rain since I got up at 6:15. It's slowed down now but you're right the house is very warm and as my Grandmother used to say it's "close" in here! I do meal planning for the week although I will admit the last couple of weeks have been real sloppy in that department and my desire to cook has been at a minimum. It's a tremendous help knowing what's on for dinner when I walk in the door at 5:15.

I need to get myself back on track. I did really well yesterday in the eating department but exercise is still not in the front part of the brain. It was definitely hard to get back into the work groove yesterday and it wore me out! By the time dinner was done, the kitchen semi cleaned up before DH took over, Otto out for his evening walk it was a little too dark for a walk for me and just didn't feel like doing anything else.

After work is back to the doctor for the repeat blood test. This may all be lab error so just keeping that thought as my primary thought. I do feel like the human jigsaw puzzle with a whole lot of pieces not quite fitting together and with one missing that is being overlooked. But then again it may just be a bit of paranoia slipping in.

Thinking about all you girls and hoping that your day is a good one!

Good morning, Deb and everyone else! What's up here is the rain that is coming down.I'm going to hit my treadmill soon and maybe do some weights and extra LB work today.I'll probably be stuck inside all day so maybe some housework.I'll crank up some music to make that more fun.I want to work on my journal some today to get motivated to continue workouts thru the fall and winter.I've come across some great pictures of women running outside in light snow and working out hard inside on a treadmill.Very inspiring.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Good morning. I actually scored the computer first this morning!!

I'm looking forward to today. It's overcast and grey this morning, so my workout will definitely be on the Stairclimber. Need to do some ab work and some UB today too.

After that I'm going over to the mall to shop for a new bra!! I'm fed up with underwires digging me all of the time and I want something a little prettier than my sports bras.

When I get home I'm planning on sewing some flannel pjs for my sons and a pair for me too! Also picked up some fleece to make them new housecoats. It was all on for half price so I couldn't turn it down!

I pre-plan my menu.....the day I'm going to eat it! I've tried making a menu plan for the week, but I never stick to it. Some days I just don't feel like eating what I had planned.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hi!

Rhonda - Good to see a post from you. Glad to see your family and property survived and that your neighbors are pitching in to help each other. Very glad to hear your parents didn't get damage. Do they have power at all?

Deb - Great weigh-in. Next time you post a picture of yourself, you're not going to be referring to yourself as the fat one in pink!

Lori - Great news about the weigh drop! Who cares why it happened? I'm psyched for you.

Patty and Margie - I love fall. I can't wait until it's really fall up here. Still a bit tropical for my blood. Rainy, too - I expect to see Spanish moss dripping from the trees on Boston Common next time I take a stroll through there.

"Dutch" - Old bag? At 61? Doubt it! Welcome to the board.

"123timesalady" - Welcome, also!

I know "Thankful Wednesday" doesn't exactly sing, but I'm thankful it's Wednesday b/c there's just 2 more days before this circus pulls out of town!

I didn't stick around here last night. I put my foot down when I still didn't have anything to do at 6:30. No one could tell me when my big job would show up; I was fuming (I don't wait well), so I said good night and I'd see them early this morning. I don't think I made many friends, but what else is new? I was in at 7 am and had most of what was left for me done before 8. So I sat around for 2 hours doing nothing, was supposed to sit around for heaven knows how much longer doing nothing, and wrapped up my gigantic workload within an hour this morning. Much ado about nothing - and a clear picture of who has the firmest grip on reality around here!

I had intended a good workout and dinner, but when I got home, I was still so angry all I did was slap my BP cuff on to see if anything was going on. Anyone impressed by 138/110? And this is on medication, with 16 lbs off, and healthy eating. Cortisol was doing a number on me! I decided a weight workout was probably not in my best interest at that particular time. So Nancy and Susan, thanks for your kind thought, and yes, it's a high-stress job, but fortunately only in spurts that last about 2 to 3 weeks at a time. Nothing different from what I've been handling for 20 years. By Friday, the stress effects from this time around will wear off. And there will be another circus in town in about a month. I just wish it was a circus of MY making and I could kick some engineering bu** instead of mine being kicked again.

Despite being so revved, I sat for a few minutes and flipped through the new Prevention and came across a breathing "exercise" I thought looked useful. So I did it - lying on my back with my behind against the wall and my legs perpendicular resting against the wall. It took about 20 minutes before I could beat back all the other thoughts that were getting in the way of me focusing on my breathing, but I managed to get it right for almost 15 minutes. Good thing to do before bedtime (well, one of two good things to do....) - I fell right to sleep, and slept through the night.

On the agenda tonight - that meal I didn't cook and that workout I didn't do yesterday.

Going to catch up on the rest of the posts. Have a good one!

Donna
