pride. Just talking with my coworker this AM that we both have the wire from our keyboards dangling under our desk in a very precarious place. We both decided we would have to figure out a way to get it out of the way before one of us ended up falling. So of course you can guess the rest...I went literally flying this afternoon flat on my butt this afternoon. My shoe got caught on the wire and I landed straight on my hip and wrist. I'm sure I'll be showing signs of the flop by tomorrow but fortunately as I said looks like only the pride was injured. Sure glad I wear pants to work!

So sorry to hear about your fall. Hope you're not too technicolor and sore. If you don't have some kind of a wire management system or a grommet to guide the wire, could you tape it up to the side or back of the desk and then under the top (if needed) to keep it out of your way? If regular tape won't hold you could try packing or duct tape in a spot that's out of sight.

The first thing I did after my failed flying attempt was to tape that sucker to the back of the tray that holds the keyboard!

Ow. That sounds like something I'd do, except I'd have broken something.

Ouch! For your pride and your joints. Hope you don't feel any ill effects.

We have that wire problem in our office at home. I got some foam tube insulation (for pipes) and tucked all the wires into that. It helps. It's not the most attractive solution for home decor, but until we get the colorful coils that are now made to corral computer wires, it works.

Take care!
