That massage sure sounds good! Happy to hear you were able to get someone you really like. I never seem to get caught up on my house either. With 5 indoor pets, it's an ongoing thing...

I ended up going to the mall twice this evening. Rob and I browsed around the first time. Looks as though clothes are going back to late 60's/early 70's now. I will say that when we wore those low jeans and midriff tops, our middles were in a lot better shape than kids nowadays. Too much fast food and too little exercise shows up very young. Rob found an MP3 player he wanted, so we wound up going home to get his money and then coming back. While we were there, we decided to do Subway turkey subs for dinner and brought one home for Tim.

Other than that, nothing really exciting. I did get a big LL Bean catalog and some other small ones. Always enjoy the catalogs.

I've thought about getting a massage, may have to do that sometime.

I worked my tail off today.I mowed 2 yards, ran on the treadmill and put out feed in the chicken houses.Did some laundry and cooking in between. It was 6pm before I took my first shower of the day.The guys were rateful when I finally did.

Oh yeah, tried something new! A neighbor and I ran the trails at the university's agricultural extension up the road from us. Have no idea how many miles we ran, but judging from the time I was gone, probably 5.5 at least, maybe closer to 6. Had to walk twice - Mary runs at a faster pace than I do, plus I hadn't exercised at all since the race on the 4th. Very enjoyable, and we'll probably do it some more.

Gotta get back into abs work, though - they're getting weak again - along with weight work.

Wednesday was a good day. I compromised on my workout - 20 min on the treadmill and light weight work - but I did something. That's because I went shopping after work, and after just two days back in closed shoes (it was kind of cool in the office for bare legs and sandals), my feet were screaming at me. Amazingly, I tried on lots of dressy shoes and found a nice pair by Bandolino on sale - black leather, open-toe, slingbacks with 3-inch heels. I've got to practice walking in them - it's been years. Against my better judgment, I put them on for a couple of hours after I got home and they felt great (either that or my feet were sore to the point of numbness).

I'm still in search of a dressy dress. I saw a lot of styles I liked, but it was too hot in the stores to deal with salespeople, dressing rooms and, especially, mirrors.

I managed to stick with healthy eating - a nice lunch of broiled salmon and salad, and a light dinner of Progresso fat-free beef barley soup. I even passed up a full-fat, double-choc chip frappucino at one of the skatey-eight Starbucks that kept popping up in front of me. There are more of them around work than I thought! I was hoping they were mirages....

My coworker who came shopping with me (one of the brides-to-be) asked me if I was always so happy. She knows how moody I can be, so her comment surprised me. It made me smile, too, but it was still surprising. I think I'm in a better mood because my workload is light; that lull my supervisor promised is here and I don't feel like I'm treading water.

Sorry for the novel narrative. Hoping for a good Thursday for you all and me!

I can't picture you as moody.I'm moody today, snappingsnarlingwhiningweepynobodylovesmeordeservesme moody.Hate days like that. And so do those that have to be around me.Which may explain why my house is empty today.

I could stand a good mirage......

I can't picture you being moody either. You seem so calm and logical. I'm SURE the reason you felt so good was that you bought new shoes. Does it for me every time! LOL! Glad to hear your workload has let up a bit too.
