Good morning. It's Thursday, right?I can not believe how this week and this month are flying by.We are already halfway thru another month!

So what are you thankful for today?I think it's so great that we do this each week.Last night I was thinking about Thankful Thursday coming up and it really made me think about what all I have to be thankful for.Taking time to reflect on the positive really helps to keep the negative in perspective.

How is everyone doing with their Sept. goals?Anyone making any changes in their workouts?Anyone reading or learning something new, exercisewise or otherwise?

Is it beginning to feel more like fall where you are?Do you have any special fall decorations you put out?

Hope you all have a wonderful day filled with things to be thankful for!

I'm thankful for my health and the ability to work and workout.I'm especially thankful for the incredible relationship I have with my sisters. We annoy each other at times(not me of course, just them)but overall we are so close. We have this thing we started a couple years back of calling each other buddy. So whenever one calls the first thing I hear when I answer is "buddy!".Sometimes if we're upset with one another buddy is said with a bit of a tone:) When I hurt my finger I remember picking up the phone countless times and hearing"buddy, do you need anything?".We really have so much fun together.I'm so lucky to have a relationship like that in my life.

For my workout today I think I'll head to the track if it doesn't rain.Yesterday I did intervals on my treadmill, what a workout.Taking care of the birds is taking care of UB work but I may do some extra today.

It is beginning to feel like fall here.It cools off so much quicker in the evening. To get in the fall feel I tossed out a couple orange candles and a ceramic pumpkin. One year I decorated with a real pumpkin.Who knew a real one wouldn't last forever????

Good Morning,

It's a very gloomy dreary looking day outside but you can tell fall is approaching with the darkness falling a little bit earlier each day. I'm not quite feeling the fall decorative season yet but probably by October 1 I'll be looking for my fall candles. I want to get some mums in pots for the front steps. Costco had some beautiful ones in baskets.

Thankful this morning for a gift that I received the other day that just made my day! Thankful for one good doctor report and knowing that I don't have to think about that for another 4 months. In spite of life's up and downs life is a good thing!

Gearing up for the work day ahead. It should be a very quiet day in the office-many law offices are closed because of the Jewish holiday and the court's have virtually no calendars. I'll be going in to work and then leaving to go have my liver sonogram and still no word on the blood work.

Hope you all have a great day!

I'm thankful for 15 years with my Cus. Today is our wedding anniversary. Nothing special planned, but it makes me reflective. Oddly, while we were on our honeymoon, Hugo rolled into South Carolina and up the east coast (we lived in Alabama at the time). 15 years later, Ivan's rolling into Alabama and we're in South Carolina. Anyway, I'd choose my man Dan all over again.

I'm thankful for Allison's continued interest in developing her reading and writing skills - I just found out that her resource teacher will be helping her select books on a 3rd grade level (sound of my jaw hitting the floor). I'm thankful too for her desire to know more about God & Jesus. I'm thankful for the Christian radio station that has really caught my attention lately. Thankful for rainy day supplies and at least one reliable car. Thankful for a friend to run with on occasion, and thankful for running.

Dogwoods are starting to turn yellow/red around here - they're usually the first to change, well ahead of all the other trees. Halloween stuff in stores... yes, there's a hint of fall locally! I REALLY get into Halloween. Not many fall decorations, but then I'm not a deco diva.

I didn't set any goals for September - I knew it'd be a few weeks before I got into them. My goals through mid-October are to run 2-3x a week, workout with weights 2-3x (total 5 workouts a week), and get back into a better eating plan. I want to tighten up those abs again! I've not "let go" as much as I initially thought, probably because some of my outside activities really had me hopping.

Expecting outer bands of rain from Ivan. Around here, we're more worried about Jeanne churning up in the Atlantic.

The month really is flying by. This time of year is often overcast, as it is here today. Sure would like to see the sun again. Rob has already seen the surf report for the weekend and is pushing for me to take him Sat.

I am thankful that Ivan missed us and pray that it will weaken soon, so more people won't be hurt by it. Also, hope Jeanne stays out at sea.

I'm thankful for talk radio and bloggers to keep the media honest (or at least try).

Always thankful for my family and our health and safety, as well as friends here on the board.

Have a good day!

Good morning!

Patty, fall is definitely in the air here! The mornings have been chilly, I've had to put on real shoes and hosiery, and I saw my first all-red tree today on the drive to the train. Now, much of the tree was wrapped in poison ivy, which turns color quite early, but it still looked pretty....

Lots to be thankful for. For my mom, who's still in great health and celebrating her 79th birthday tomorrow. Par-teee Saturday at my sister's house. Guess who's bringing the cake? Think I'll make a carrot cake (thanks for the idea, Rhonda!). For my DH, a very tolerant and patient man. For this quiet time at work - going to enjoy it and the chance to clean up/catch up on office housekeeping tasks before October, when the next big one (which I'm already calling "The Thing") comes around. For seeing my good work pay off with a good doctor's report and an HDL of 102! For my niece and nephew, who never fail to bring a smile to my face - would you believe I've taped all their phone messages and kept them?? So cute to listen to their progress in their speech and language skills, and in their poise. For football season and for a talented team of genuinely good guys to get behind. For the ability to read. I love books - real ones, not e-books. I wish kids would see the value and wonder of reading, not the drudgery of learning and interpreting. I remember spending summer days sitting in my house reading, when everyone else was at the beach or out playing. My mom thought there was something wrong with me; I was just doing what made me happy.

I didn't make any firm goals for September. I like how I'm doing so far this month with exercise and eating, and think it'll be a good month for me.

Have a good day, everyone!

Donna
