I agree with you Lori. What are they thinking...oh, that is right, they are not thinking. Those men were there to help get the water running.
Can't even imagine what those families are going through. It is horrible and I wish all the Americans who are trying to HELP would just get out of there. They don't deserve American help anymore.
I agree. They are worse than animals and have no consciences or regard for human lives. And, it's not just Americans they're targeting (although that's my biggest concern). It's anyone from any country who's trying to help the process of restoring Iraq and helping them have free elections and establish their own form of democracy and liberty. There have been civilians from other countries who've been killed, and the last hostage is from Great Britain.
There's no way to fight a "sensitive war" with these people, and weakness only spurs them on. They are like predators who seek out the weak in a pack and then spring for the kill, or like sharks who go into a frenzy when they smell blood. They're sick, and they thrive on violence, pain, perversion, and death. The only thing they fear is strength and an educated population, which helps bring about strength.
I will be so happy when our troops can come home, but we must win the war before they do, or we will be fighting them on Main St. all over the USA.

Time invested in improving ourselves cuts down on time disapproving of others.
These are not rational people - they are criminals and murderers. It's taking time, but gradually the rest of the world are waking up to the fact that this is about control and power, not some religious war. Even Muslim nations are starting to realize that they need to do something about them, as their own countries are now under attack. They're not just killing Americans or westerners or "infidels", but their own people.
You can't reason with these bloodthirsty madmen. You can't placate them. I think they'd still kill even if we did what they wanted. And, as we've seen in Russia - you can't just ignore them and hope they'll stop. They won't. I don't like our troops and companies being "over there" any more than most people, but I'd rather us take their battles to them there than have them taking out 3000 lives a pop here over and over again.
