Morning Nancy!

No exercise since Saturday but that is because my plate is full this week. More like over flowing. I am sticking with my WW Core program, because it works. I went last night and weighed in and I lost another 1.8 pounds. My total so far is 4.8 in 3 weeks. Nothing compared to Mary. But a loss is a loss.

I have work in 30 minutes and then its a crazy lady doing errands. I have to get black shoes for Robbie, pick up Katies heart medicine, grocery store run for some healthy food, then home to clean the dinning room, kitchen and livingroom. I did the den and the patio yesterday and they look great. The family has been put on high alert to not make "any" messes. Bill's aunt is coming tonight and she is going to help me decorate the patio and my fireplace mantle with some tulle, white candles, and twinkly lights.

Thursday is more cleaning, pick up my dress, get my hair cut and colored, make the Penne with Vodka Sauce, and the mixed vegtables, then meet the teacher night. Friday is manicure, pedicure, and pick up Billy's suit. Of coarse the last minute clean up and press EVERYONES clothes for Saturday morning. OY!!! Its really getting here fast now! HELP!

Catch up with you all later and hope you week is not as busy as mine!

Good Morning,

I've got that cold comimg on scratchy throat, stuffy head runny nose thing going on. There is absolutely nothing going on in my exercise department. I haven't been in the mood for weeks and it's really showing. No real excuse except that my head doesn't seem to be screwed on correctly.

Dropped DS and his car off for an inspection this morning and I'm now running behind to get to work so later ladies!

Been busy here this week so far. We've got painters working on the exterior of the house (it's been 8 years since we had it painted). Meanwhile, I've been marginally successful in scheming the dining room, but am having a hard time with finding curtain material. I'll be doing striped wall paper on the bottom 3rd of the wall (up to the chair rail), some cream color on 3 of the walls, then an accent wall in a darker red. I might have to go with darker red curtains rather than a pattern. Sigh. It's also difficult because the DR and family room are connected, and I'd like colors flow between the two rooms. The color combos du jour these days are reds, creams and greens, but our living room has that country/slate blue in it, which I have no intention of changing (I don't even want green accents). I might be able to do darker red curtains in there, since that same red runs as a lesser color in our plaid sofa. I can see where people just give up! But as I said when I redid the bathrooms two years ago, we've been with white walls and stained woodwork for 13 years, and I'm BORED with it. So running around color matching has been my big thing thus far this week.

Dan's having two lumps checked out on his neck which he's had for several years. There've not been any changes in them, but he's thinking about them enough now that he wants to get them diagnosed/taken care of. One is just a cyst, not even worth removing according to the doc. The other is on his lymph nodes and has a different character than the cyst. Doc took x-rays last week to "make sure there are no surprises" and to help him determine if we're just dealing with outpatient surgery or something more, but we had to wait a week for the results. Dan got the results yesterday, and the x-ray is clear, so surgery has been scheduled for next Monday. A biopsy on the mass will follow, but we're hopeful that it's benign.

I went running on Monday. 2.8 miles, but this outing I pushed for speed and managed to do it at just under an 8-minute mile pace. Granted, I had the benefit of a 5 minute rest after a mile when I stopped to chat with a friend of mine, but still ran the last 1.8 miles hard. I surprised myself in that I have more endurance for harder running than I thought, even able to catch my breath at my regular pace before resuming. I'd never tried that because I'd always been afraid that I'd wear out and have to crawl a mile or more back to the house, LOL! Came home and did abs. Skipped yesterday, due to all the running around I did (plus a play date with a friend after school). Today, I'm pretty much "here" most of the day until choir tonight, and I'd like to do weight work.

It's been delightfully chilly in the morning, low 50s, warming up to near 80 in the afternoon. Makes it difficult to figure out what Allison should wear because late fall things are too hot in the afternoon, and late summer things are too chilly in the morning. Her school had a "Donuts with Dad" breakfast this morning, and Dad thoroughly enjoyed it.

I need to kick it up a notch but that won't happen today probably.Having a couple girlfriends in for lunch.Trying to get my work in CL done and clean the house before they come.Took awhile but I finally found my kitchen table.I think once aweek I'm just going to tell DH I'm having people in for lunch so he'll get his junk off of the table.

Ok, at the risk of showing how unsophisticated I am, I bought some new glasses for today.I thought it would be nice if I had matching ones for today.I bought some that were called clarit(I think) or tea glasses. They have a stem and just look a bit more elegant and classy. So yesterday I drank my water from one and I have to say it helped me do better on my water intake.Funny how a little thing can make a difference.

We are having beautiful weather.Yesterday evening was such a perfect fall evening, the sky was blue with patchy clouds and the mountains were so clear and beautiful.None of the humidity that masks them at times.

Happy first day of Fall gang!
