Good morning everyone! I love having a thankful thursday, always so easy to start the post :)
So what are you thankful for today?Did something come to mind right away or did you have to think about it awhile?I know sometimes when it's hard to come up with a positive I just read the other posts and things come to mind.Sometimes we just need gentle reminders of things to be thankful for.
I'm headed out for a day with my Mom and sisters. My sister thought it would be fun to surprise the others and show up early for once. How is that fun????And guess who's late???
I'll check back in later, hope you each have a wonderful Thursday!!!!!

It's another lovely day here on LI. A bit on the summery side so it's back to summer like attire except for sitting in the office which can feel like the tundra some days. I'm still fighting off the stuffy head, drippy nose syndrome.
Thankful for the support from of all of you wonderful ladies and those at work who offered to drive me and be another set of ears at the doctor's office yesterday. Thankful for the boss that no matter what will always tell me to take whatever time I need. Thankful for the opportunity that DH has had this week to get away and enjoy this seminar-and apparently he's eating like royalty out there! Thankful that when DS car broke down last night that it was in the parking lot of school and that he was able to get the car started again and back home safely. Thankful also to DS for helping me out with some of DH's responsibilities around the house this week. Thankful for the opportunity this past weekend to spend time with my sisters and for the opportunity for all four of us to be together for this special occasion.
Patty, I hope you have a great day with your mom and sisters! Hope everyone has a wonderful and terrific Thursday!

I'm going to put today in a positive light despite the acid-like burning in my throat, the itch in my ears, and the 30-lb weight in my head. Ugh. This thing sure went downhill fast. But I'm here, and there's a pulse, and I'm breathing, and I have my Hall's honey-lemon drops. I'm on the right side of the grass, so it's good!
Not exactly feeling high-energy today. There will be no workout tonight; cardio, maybe, but nothing else. There will be a hair cut, and I'll probably fall asleep in the chair. There will be a light dinner at home, and then I will hit the hay early.
Thankfuls? That I was able to get up this morning after a terribly interrupted night's sleep and get to work. I can pretend to be functional, and probably get more done than a lot of others here! For the arrival of fall - even though the days are still on the warm side, the mornings and evenings are nice and crisp. For my DH and my family, especially the little ones (who are not so little anymore - boohoo) and who always manage to light up my day.
Have a good one!

Good morning Patty and all of the rest of you gals here.

I think I am going to have to go to Costco today and see about new contacts. I can't seem to wear mine all day anymore and the vision in the right eye is not right. I am near sighted as well as have astigmatism and then I have to wear reading glasses over them. Sheesh...but I am thankful I can still see with correction. ;-) The place I was going to for years closed so someone suggested Costco. Have to make sure I can see for Asheville.
I got dressed again today to exercise and it is not happening. What is up with that? I am really going to roll off that plane in Asheville. I will have to take out my stretch jeans.
Have a super grateful Thursday all.

I'm thankful that there are organized people out there!
Your doll collection sounds wonderful! McKenna is still a little young for them, but I wouldn't give up hope. As she gets older, she may be totally fascinated by them. If no one you know wants them, I'd try contacting other collectors or maybe go on eBay to see if you can get top dollar for them. It's a shame to have them go out of the family though with the sentimental value. People have so much "stuff" now that it's often hard to have room for collections and very many things with sentimental value. I have my grandmother's upright piano that is over 80 years old, but the whole thing needs to be replaced inside and could stand to be refinished on the outside. It takes up a lot of room, and no one plays it because it doesn't sound right any more. I'd like to donate it to a church or somewhere that would restore it, but my mother would probably disown me. I learned to play piano on it when I was 4 and practiced on it when I took lessons at 10, so it has sentimental value for me too, but there are newer things I use that I need room for.
I can empathize with how you feel about your house. It seems that no matter what I do, with 5 indoor animals, I can never stay on top of keeping things how I'd like them. I must confess I'm no Suzy Homemaker to begin with. I like a clean house, but you'll never be able to "eat off my floors." Never figured out why someone would want to do that anyway. ;-)

my ex is behaving like a decent human being
my workouts are going well
But the thing that really strikes me right now as particularly thankful for - is flylady. Someone here introduced me to her and I bless whomever it was. Right now, I'm sitting here in a reasonably clean apartment, with dinner on the way, new curtains, lots of space, and no little mess to distract me or stress me out. I'm SOOOO thankful for flylady. WIthout her, I know I would be feeling totally overwhelmed. Instead, I'm quite peaceful and calm and happily enjoying our beautiful new (newly rediscovered after major decluttering!) living room.

I missed being able to say good morning, so I'll say Good Afternoon! This week is flying by, as most weeks do any more.

Good Morning Everyone,
Doing a happy dance today because the weather man is "callin" for a cold front to come through later day and we may be lucky enough to have temps in the 80's this weekend.
