Hi there! I was on and off the computer several times today but not long enough to fill you all in about my "wedding"! Thursday was busy with cleaning and errands, Friday was last minute running around, refresh the house, manicures and pedicure for the bride, mom, and attendants. We had the rehursal Friday at 6. Bill and his aunt handled the food and the lighting of my candles (spent Thursday night setting up twinkle lights on my back patio, fireplace mantle, around the bay window. Then wrapped tulle all around the lights and then set about 3 dozen white candles of various sizes all around the two rooms)so that when we got home to my house around 7:30 the house was gorgeous, and the food was ready. We ate, met David's family and they all stayed until 10:30. Sent them back to the hotel with the groom, cleaned up and put everyone to bed. The bride and I did the sister talking with warm mugs of tea until 1AM.

Saturday morning we got up at 5:45 and started our morning. Maureen (hair/make-up lady) arrived at 7. Dori and Samantha around 8:30. Mom and dad around 9, followed up by Linda (Sharons best friend). We got all put together and did our photos with the photographer around 10:15 and then into the limo around 11:30. Church was at 12 and then onto the reception around 12:50. More photos at the Country Club and poof the day was over. The weather was perfect, the sun was out, it was high 70's and there was a slight breeze on the water. She looked so beautiful and elegant. Just like a princess (sorry Patti) and they looked so in love. He cried several times during the wedding ceremony and at the reception. She was just beaming and smiling the entire day. The music was great and the food tasted delightful. It went by so fast. At 6:00 when we were leaving and loading the car with the family, gifts, and other stuff she kept saying it was the best day of her life and she did not want it to end.

We carried that feeling over to my house, yet agian and had a few more drinks, pulled out some left over food from Friday night and went until 10 PM. The bride and groom were the last to leave my house around 10:30 and at that point Bill and I looked at each other and said, we will clean the mess in the morning. So that was what we did "ALL" day today. My house looks like a house again and 99% of everything is back in its place and returned to the rightful owner.

Work tomorrow, and back to the grind. As I get more pictures I will send them on. I did not have my camera out (I forgot and was to busy), so I need to rely on others who did take photo's. I only have a few email address's of you lovely ladies, so if I do not have yours and you would care to share in my photo's of my sisters wedding let me know. You can email me your addy if you want or post it here. Thanks for listening to my rambling and putting up with my rants these past weeks. Now that its over I can relax a little and maybe focus some time on me. Sharon gave me a beautiful Tiffany braclet with the heart engraved 9/25/04, Thanks! and my initial on the other side. She also gave me a Gift Certificate for a massage, which she said I would probley need when all this was over and done with. I think she was right. Thanks again to those who made it to the end of this post!!!

It's sounds like a wonderful weekend. They are a beautiful couple.

I know your sister appreciated all you did to make her day so special.I love that you two stayed up drinking tea and talking.

Are you exhausted????Hope you have a nice relaxing week though I doubt that happens often with a job, a husband and 3 busy

It sounds like you are tight with yours sisters, just like I am with mine. I get that same warm feeling when you post about yours all the time. There really is nothing like a sister, especially when it works. Do not get me wrong, brothers I am sure are great (never had one) but .............well sisters! What more can I say!

Nancy,

I am the oldest of three. I am 43, Dori is going to be 40 on 11/13, and Sharon the bride will be 36 on 11/14. Close enough but yet far enough apart, my mom used to say.
