Yes there is something safe about same old, same old. I guess we tend to forget about how good things are until something comes around and changes that or we hear about something that makes us realize.
Hard to believe September is just about over and October is around the bend. I guess this week Katie and I will pull out the fall/Halloween decorations. Time to get this family of sleepy heads up and moving. Work today and I hope its a low key morning at the job. I think a few early nights are going to sound good to me. Back on my WW program today and I am going to try and get my 30 minute tape done before the kids get home. I will start the laundry and the house work after. Well I will try!
Hope Rhonda and the rest of you southern ladies are safe. These storms are getting old, I can only imagine how you must feel. I know my BIL is planning on bringing his boat home and getting it tied down extra hard up here. My thoughts are with you!

Good Monday Morning Everyone,
As I began my post for today I found myself thinking...this is the last Monday of September then I realized that the month is almost over.

I do agree that mundane is sometimes a very good thing. We went to a friends house yesterday and ended up staying for dinner. Their 6 year old son was recently diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. I always knew the seriousness of the disease and of course the consquences if not controlled. But the thought and care that must be put into his diet and when he eats and what he eats, having confidence in the school and the school nurse to monitor him when they're not around, figuring out how much of the drugs he needs to take to make sure his sugar is at just the right level and through it all he always had a smile on his face-it sure is a difficult thing and certainly life changing. I signed up for a 10K walk for Juvenile Diabetes for next Sunday and am now a member of Danny's Team. They are a family of tremendous faith and truly believe in the power of prayer so please keep Danny and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
It was a very busy weekend around here. After a 2 month wait finally got my new living room furniture. It looks lovely in the room and it really is too bad that the couch they sent me is the wrong size. After much debate we decided to go with a smaller couch and hung pictures etc based on 72". When we finally put the couch in place we couldn't quite figure out why the couch wasn't fitting exactly right until DH got his tape measure out. Well, of course after 3 phone calls the store still hasn't returned our phone calls. Just might be time to make an "in person" call to see what they're going to do about it. Nothing earth shattering-but certainly annoying.
After a 3 mile walk on Saturday really want to get back into some type of fitness routine but today's after work is not looking too promising. Just can't seem to get back into any kind of routine.
Hope everyone effected by the latest round of hurricanes is safe. I just can't believe what the southern region has had to endure these past few weeks.
Well, off to get ready for work. It's a day free of any kind of phone calls to doctors, tests of any kind or visits to any doctor's office-so I'll be enjoying that!
Hope your Monday is a good one!

One thing I have so admired about you is that even with all your medical concerns you have taken the time to post concerned and encouraging messages to those of us here.Reading about the 10k you signed up for strengthens my admiration.
